Message after message
I slept through the noise.
He came to the door,
looking for you
Said things that were
too much for you to handle
And he regrets every word
He said,
"Too hard on him...I know."
You called me first,
but they took my phone
Wish I got your message
when it first came.
You're home now
Safe and sound,
but still upset
And feel like running again.
Message after message
I slept through the noise.

- I had to read the description to understand. When you write, imagine yourself as a person who does not know you or your mind - read the poem and imagine what they would think and if they would understand. Poetry doesn't require you to force-feed the story to the reader, but the story should be able to be found through metaphors or clues given by the writer. But keep writing, my dear, thats the way to enhance your skill! (btw hope your bf is okay!)

- Wow...the emotion is written very well. My bf ran away too a few weeks ago. It hurts.
