I’ve sentenced you to darkness
A whole world to reinvent
I’ve played my cards against the odds
And saddened many plays
My self-conscience reaps the benefits
Hallows I have sewn
To slay the inner odds by which I’ve built into my throne
To please my inner maker
A cultivated rafter rotted and shut
Tormented is the soul of many live that come and pass
A plated martyr rusted tight and plenty a relapse
To watch the mindless faults of men wrenched in happiness
I’ve got to get away – away from my own thought
To please my inner maker
A cultivated rafter rotted and shut
I’ve got to find my way out from this abyss
To please my inner maker
A cultivated rafter rotted and shut
Places to build my fortress

- Title: In Darkness
- Artist: Noir Sanada
- Description: This is actually a song I wrote for my band. I was listening to Dead Memories by Slipknot when I wrote it. It's just supposed to sound similar in the music and meter. The song is pretty much about a guy who's lost all hope and the odds are against him and he's just trying to cultivate his life, hence the allusion to a "cultivated rafter" (rafters are important structures in housing construction). Hit me up if you like it or might need a lyricist for your music! All I ask is credit =)
