• If the world were an oyster then I would just be sand.
    If the world were a charity, I would lend a hand.
    If the world were a stage then I would be in the back.
    I would not be flashy because of the courage I lack.

    If the world were a picture then I would be one line.
    If the world were a large bank then I would be a dime.
    If the world were a story then I would be one word.
    I do not stand out and I am barely even heard.

    But does that stop me from trying to get to the top.
    I might even fall and that is a really large drop.
    Life is like a battle and I might just lose instead.
    But I’ll continue to go on until the very end.
