-
I sang of it silently,
While in the dark I bled.
Mourning the loss
of the life I never led.
It slipped right through my fingers,
like it was only sand;
the harder I tried to hold it,
the more that I lost, and...
...I didn't really notice
until it was too late.
Trapped now inside a prison
from which I can't escape.
There is no light nor darkness,
no silence yet no sound;
no open sky above me,
and under me, no ground.
No water in my tears,
no fire in my soul;
trapped in darkness bleeding.
Blood as black as coal.
