Is it so wrong to cast out the pain I once felt
and replace it with some love?
I am a sucker for love and a loser for affection
and at the risk of my own happiness,
I'd wish away my every joy just to see you smile.
Is it so wrong to want to question the happiness I always feel
and answer it with resentment?
I am a hunter for praise and a killer for approval
and at the risk of my own heart,
I'd wash away my every worry just t hear you talk.
How could something so real suddenly feel so unjust?
Like stealing to feed the poor
Or lying to save your soul,
I just wanted you to understand that I love you
and at the risk of my own life,
I'd gladly remove it for yours.
