- Description: My school is doing a play called "The Women of Lockerbie," by Deborah Brevoort. It's about Pan Am 103, the plane that crashed into the hills of a little town called Lockerbie in Scotland. It was bombed on December 21, 1988, four days before Christmas, by Libyan Abdelbaset Ali Mohmed al-Megrahi. It is thought that it was done to get revenge. The previous year, the U.S. shot down an Iranian passenger jet, killing 290 people. This was inspired by what I felt while watching the play.
