I thought I saw a ghost
But it wasn’t really there
I never actually saw it
But I could feel it in the air
Reaching back for childhood dreams
I wanted to believe
This fascination did exist
But I think I was deceived
I thought I heard a voice
But now it seems so far away
Whispered promises in the dark
Fade like fog before the day
How callow it was of me
To dwell in this childish fantasy
Painting pictures in my mind
Of an existence I’d never find
I thought I saw a ghost
But it was all inside my head
A hollow life I imagined
A memory, long lost and dead

- Title: It Ran Away With Me
- Artist: AnirbasFlowgnaf
- Description: Just a poem I wrote today. I don't even know where it came from. It just went *poof* "here I am!" And in my opinion that always make the best writing. I was about half-way through it when the door to our room slammed shut and my roomie kinda freaked. I thought It was funny though. This and more can also be found on my deviant art account, under the same username.
