[Verse 1]
I remember a time
Not so long ago
When I took a walk
Down life’s bumpy road.
It was a walk to forget
All the troubles of today
But there is a man
Who had a plan that day.
[Chorus]
It was the walk of a lifetime.
It was the walk of The Way.
It was the perfect time
For me to stop and pray
Dear Father up in heaven
Your will this day.
I’m bowing here now
For you to show me the way.
And I pray you will guide me
Be always beside me
Because Father I love you.
Please show me the way.
[Verse 2]
As I finished my prayer
And began to stand
I had to wipe my tears
With the back of my hand.
I realized right then
How good God had been.
It didn’t seem like enough
But I thanked him again and again.
Then I ran straight home
To tell my wife what happened.
[Chorus]
[Verse 3]
About the time that I finished
My wife began to cry
And it broke my heart to see.
She said, “Honey, Honey,
I’ve been praying for you
And I think God just
Answered my prayer.”
[Chorus]
- Title: Walk of a Lifetime
- Artist: Gazma
- Description: I've been a Christian now for about 4 years, I believe. This song doesn't portray an actual event in my life, but I think the moment it describes can relate to every Christian. There was a time in each of our lives that we stopped and asked God to be the center of our life. That is when we begin the real Walk of a Lifetime.

- Actually, I had a tune in mind when I was writing it. God does have a sense of humor: the song had a country melody to it. sweatdrop
