-
Christmas, lonely and cold;
not at all like the days of old.
There used to be laughter, and there used to be joy;
with a pretty lit tree above all the toys.
Tins, once full of cookies and treats;
now sit in a cabinet, forgotten but stacked up neat.
She had to leave, and take that long walk;
how would she feel, if she knew we hardly even talk.
We're all so distant and cold;
not at all like the days of old.
