    "You are the one who wanted her in the first place!
    "All that thing is is a dead weight.
    A nuisance, stupid, and worthless."

    Every day I hear mommy yell.
    Every day I face her wrath.
    Every day she beats me harder.
    Every day mommy leaves me alone to myself.
    "Mommy, please don't leave, come back!

    Today, mommy was different.
    Today, mommy seemed sad.
    Today, mommy had a weird smell on her breath.
    Today, mommy was crying.

    Mommy looked down at me.
    Mommy picked me up.
    My tail began to wag, I ask,
    "Why is mommy sad?"

    Mommy hugged on me.

    Mommy kissed me head.
    "I knew you didn't hate me!"

    I licked her face a little.
    Oh, how happy can a dog be?!

    Mommy held me out.
    Mommy took my head in her hands.
    "What are you doing mommy?"
    Mommy brought me to the bathtub.
    "Mommy, you know I'm a bad swimmer!"

    Mommy pushed me under the water.
    Mommy held my head under.
    Mommy looked at me in horror, anger.
