• Exactly when the sun rose no one could say,
it was hidden by the clouds that completely covered the sky
    like a big, gray comforter.
After the sun reached it's zenith the cloud blanket was shrugged off.
    The sun warmed the earth!
    For about fifteen minutes.
Then the rain fell for a while, but even that did not last.
The temperature dropped like a sky diver without a parachute
    hail pelted the grass.
I laughed at the weather's inability to make up it's mind.
I tilted my head back and asked anyone up there listening
    "What gives?"
And that's how I knew it was spring.
