• The world is collapsing in on itself,
In voids swallowing the glib and relevant
In mushroom clouds reaching from ground to sky
You stand, fingers feeling on the replete rubble
    Stumbling madly in dim caverns
Trying to find a way Home

Breaker boxes blow, sparks showering and sucking,
    Licking up your ankles
Blindly trudging on cracked pavement with
Scorched, tired feet forever carrying you,
Carrying you Home in this madcap implosion of inanity

Awkward scents disperse in the air, pungency burning
In rotting piles of collected refuse
In the bleeding sacks of flesh who never made it
Home in this dog eat dog world

    Veneration comes with time,
Until wrinkled digits no longer fumble in the dark
    When blindness turns to light

Or rather sewn-shut eyes tear the thread binding lid to socket
Cloudy, bloodshot eyes gaze upon the land walked for so long

    You've been Home.
