• There she sat, the beautiful queen.
    She ruled over all,
    But all ruled over her.
    High upon her throne,
    She is driven by them.
    Her fears,
    Her sorrow,
    They try to control her.
    They drive her to insanity.
    They pull her into them.
    Deeper she drowns,
    Deeper she falls,
But it’s all in her head.
    She can’t stop them.
    They won’t leave her be.
    They cry and scream.
    They laugh and tease.
But no one will help the queen.
    Because she was alone,
Afraid to venture into the world,
    She only ruled her mind.
    But her mind ruled her.
    So she decided,
    The beautiful queen,
That no longer will she lead.
    She tilted her head back,
    And let them thrive.
    The fears,
    The sorrow,
    They won over her mind.
    She cried and screamed.
    She laughed and teased.
    And only then,
Did people try to help the queen.
    Her body lay still,
    Her eyes open wide,
    Blood was her clothing,
    And tears were the stains.
There she laid, the beautiful queen.
