The little girl watches out the window
Watches the lantern flicker out side
Hoping he will see it
And find his way home
Her mother cries
She wants to tell her
That the river took her daddy
To a better place
She wants to tell her
That her daddy soul was sent free
Like a dove being let out of its cage
Or that her daddy now sleeps
Under a bed of flowers
That her daddy lives in heaven
And he’s watching over us
But she doesn’t
She doesn’t want to bring a tear to
That beautiful Childs face

Its very beautiful in a sense of pure sadness seeming that the poet was sad... Although the sense is also of secure false hope of wanting of a return that will never come...
