Understanding the opposite sex is really confusing until you learn the tricks. For one, guys almost nvr look each other in the eyes when they are talking, they almost always look other directions. Girls however, lock eye contact and almost never break it. Anything else is almost like saying that you aren't interested in what they're saying. Guys, it's much easier to understand women when they aren't thinking you're ignoring you.
Guys and Girls want the same thing. Understanding. What they say doesn't change. It's what they mean. Guys tend to be logical, which is why women don't understand. There is no emotional connection with us. Our thoughts tend to be logical. To see a dog that is walking lost, we'd say, "that's not good." and move on. Look at a product designed for men. Take razors, shampoo, cars, anything made for men. Almost all of them continually express what it can do. How much power it has, how advanced it is, ect. We're all kinda like Dr. Spock from star trek. We don't understand emotional impact as well.
Women use their emotions when talking. Which is why guys don't understand. Women like things like cards, flowers, ect. Not all, but many gifts if not all gifts designed for women have emotional impact. Watch an ad for womens perfume, shampoo, ect. It's all based on feelings. Guys, if you want to understand, look at what they are saying from an emotional standpoint.
Girls like to feel, guys like to think. This doesn't always hold true, for i know men who feel, and women who think. But 90% of the time this is the tried and true formula. and if you're wondering why, i'm majoring in advertising. I have to know this. Good luck to you all.

This is the truest statement i've read. And also think of this: When ever two guys argue what's the normal outcome? A fight then a drink at a bar or just a laughing fest of how stupid they were. With girls (This is my own opinion) they either: settle it with three or four conversations or fight and never talk to each other again until they realize that the fight was stupid. Anyway, Girls are truly confusing to me for the fact that they want the guy to express how he feels, and 9 out of 10 guys normally cant or dont show emotion, because they may have been raised knowing that emotions get people hurt. BUT if they try to express themselves in their own way, the girl may misread the actions and think something completely different. Now im not saying every girl and every guy is like this. I know a lot of guys and girls who hold back or just let their emotions go wild.
So its just a matter of the situation. Girls will normally be confusing to guys for the fact that we dont truly know what to do in many situations, or that we do know what to do but dont know how to procede with it. And one of my female friends told me this: "Guys are confusing only for the fact that they are either simple minded, or so easy to figure out that its frustrating."

Well... It really depends on your point of view. For me, guys and girls are equally confusing; and in that, they are also less confusing.
...That's probably only going to serve to confuse you more, however, so I'll explain:
I'm not a girly-girl. I'm not quite a tomboy, either, I don't think. I don't take forever to get ready in the morning; I take ten minutes, including the eight it takes to haul my butt out of bed. I try not to think too much about people, as it makes them more than simple. Stereotypes haven't been in my life so much. I can as easily talk to a guy as I can a girl. The only thing that changes is what we talk about, and even that depends on the person.
Really, what I'm trying to say, is that girls aren't so different from guys and guys aren't so different from girls; it's simply how we think. People say that girls are more materialistic and guys are all about sex, which--while it can be true--is often wrong.
If you want to get to know someone, don't think about them as a 'guy' or a 'girl'. Ignore that, and anything else about their outwardness, and find out who they are. They may think or feel completely differently from what you first expected.
