And, no, I'm not talking the military type they talk about on wikipedia.
I'm a huge band geek. I mean, totally. My life, right after church, is FILLED with Marching Band. Most people ask what instrument I play. I leave them feeling a bit awkward. Because they don't have any idea what the 'official' name means.
I'm a proud member of Color Guard. Possibly Winter Guard this year. Many people always ask 'What's that.' Which, personally, I think if you know what a cheerleader is, then you should know what their apparent worst enemy, a guard member, is. Right? (I don't understand the Guard/Cheerleader rivalry, though... maybe someone can explain it to me?)
I mean, I'm addicted to it. On my Myspace, the guard page is my NUMBER ONE. My friends think I'm just crazy, strange like that. (I admit, I'm strange. I would never lie about that. XD)
But I think it would be like, really rad to talk to others about it. I guess that's why I posted it so late at night. =P

I'm currently in my fourth and senoir year of color and winter guard. If you like marching season as much as it seems, you would love winter. It's the most amazing thing in the world! It is so accelerating, and performing to such a huge crowd at championships is the greatest feeling in the world. My guard won first place in the novice class last season, and we were all so happy that we cried our eyes out on each others' shoulder. Trust me, any guard girl that enjoys fall will love winter.

I was a Color Guard Member for part of my first sem in High School but I couldn't afford the uniforms and other expences so I had to quit. It was so much fun too!
