Just had an idea like yesterday about a new type of "zombie"
Say its 2050 and technology has become so advanced that all you have to do is think and you'll be able to access the internet using a small chip implanted in your brain. this chip is relatively cheap, about as much as a high quality modern day laptop or desktop computer. One day out of no where a virus starts spreading through the internet infecting every chip that's been implanted and allowing the infector to take control of the infected's body systems putting them into essentially a zombie state. The only "survivors" of this virus being military personnel, poor people and the schizophrenic people of the world both of which refused to get the chip implanted.
Basically the characters who are playable would be in three groups,
"Survivors" which would be the poor people.
"Rouges" which would be the schizophrenics
and the Military people who weren't allowed to get the chips implanted because of military protocol.
