α ωoяℓ∂ ∂єvι∂є∂ is based in a continent that is split evenly into two countries, which are known as Mystocentria and Mythomortia. Each will have its own customs, native species, religion, myths, legends, magic, or anything else you can think of really. There is no room for real life historical or religious refferences in this land. There is no room for any of the countries that exist in real life, either. To put things as shortly as possible, you will remain loyal to the lore or you will have your character killed off and/or banned permanently from the roleplay. There shall only be one or two warnings, depending on the severity of the offence.

⊱ яєα∂ιиɢ ⊰

There is going to be a large bit of information dumped onto this page. Unless you are an avid reader and don't mind lengthy texts, just read what directly applies to you and your characters. You must read: the Rules*, Introduction, info dump on your character's Native Country, and the info dump on your character's Species. However, do not neglect these texts entirely. Read up on whatever you encounter when it becomes necessary. Not everything is the same as you would find in any other fantasy setting, and if worst came to worst, you might slip up and go against the stated ℓoяє without meaning to! We wouldn't want that, now would we?
Also, to prove that you've been reading all this, PM me your profiles with the PM Topic//Title//Whatever-You-Call-It named after your character's native homeland. If you've been reading this, or hell, even looked at the table of contents in every post, this should not be difficult.

⊱ вαsιc єттιqυєт ⊰

As I am obligated to say, it is MANDATORY that you follow and have at one point read Gaia's Terms of Service. If you have not, get the hell out of my roleplay until you do. You should also keep in mind APPROPRIATE LIMITS for your characters in terms of power and behavior. Nobody likes a godmodder. They get banned rather quickly. As following the ToS partly implies, cybering will have you banned even more quickly. (Srsly, timeskip if it gets that far!) Treat others with respect and dignity in OOC, even if your characters are at each other's throats in roleplay. Disemboweling and/or killing player characters without their and my consent is a form of god-modding and disrespect, which is just as likely to get you banned as either.

There is no username section since this will be categorized and posted using quotes.
The name section is not for your own name, but for your character's name. The same goes for age, gender, and species.
If there isn't a species up that you want to play, PM me about it and tell me what ideas you have for the species you do want to try. We'll discuss it for a bit, you fill in the species skeleton and sent it in so I can post it up for future refference.
Your character's native country only decides where their profile will be posted up. One does not owe any sort of loyalty to his or her birthlands.
Social Status is their standing in their birthland, in society.
You should have at least three sentences for their biography, even if you do not reveal all that much about their past. No amnesiacs, please.
The other section is optional. This is for anything extra you want to mention about the character that wouldn't fit anywhere else.
I will not accept descriptions for character profiles. Pictures only, please, and no RL pics! If you literally cannot copy+paste or do not have access to photobucket for some reason or another, PM me about it and I will be happy to help resolve the issue.

There are eight Elemental Generals in all, two for each of the given elements. One of each will serve the two Goddesses, one fire for Mortia and one fire for Mysto, ect. ect. Since these roles are very high in the power meter, their full potential being an utter game breaker and unbelievably god-moddy, they will not actively challenge or go against PC's unless they attack first. They will not destroy areas or wreak tangible havoc without my permission and full awareness. They will also certainly not count as "filler characters" or any sort of goal to get the roleplay started. These characters will not all be introduced immediately - but will be revealed when it becomes most suitable. For very obvious reasons, you should ask me if you can play one before sending a profile in. Someone else might be playing one and only revealing it later or I might not have roleplayed enough with you to see that you won't abuse the power this sort of character type holds.

⊱ тнє ɢяєαт ωoяℓ∂ ∂єvι∂є // ℓєɢєи∂ ⊰

Long before the first sands of time fell, an omnipotent being lived alone on the largest, and only, continent in the world. A single, powerful goddess with infinite wisdom and benevolence. For her, an eternity was merely a passing moment of her life. Yet, for her, an eternity was more than enough to see that something was missing inside.

Aside from herself, the ugly continent was void of any life or color. It was not long until she brought life to the world, filling the empty void that surrounded her continent with water - her first act as the True Goddess. To the east of her continent she created a land of snow, sturdy mountains to the west. To the north she made a breezy forest, to the south the fertile plains. In the center, the heart of the continent, lays a desert of seemingly endless sand surrounded by a perfect ring of tropical rainforests.

Now her world was beautiful and varied, yet it still felt as empty as could be. She roamed about and enjoyed the natural splendors of her new home, still unsure as to what exactly was missing. Only when she saw her own reflection in the waters for the very first time did she realise that what she wanted was not simply a change in scenery, but a change in life entirely. The True Goddess wished for companionship, similar souls to ease her lonesome heart.

The True Goddess gathered various materials, those which she felt would be suitable in the making of her daughters-to-be. From the spiders she gathered the fairest, strongest silk for hair. From the southern earth she gathered clay, to shape and mold their flesh as she saw fit. For eyes she plucked four radiant pearls from the deepest, darkest depths of the sea. Using her most ancient of magics, she infused a small portion of her essense these objects - transforming them into two nubile goddesses that shared her image.

The first, Mysto, was a very elegant and curious lady. She carried herself with dignity and grace, always trying to please the True Goddess while forever searching for answers to questions she was too proud to ask. The second, Mortia, was similar to Mysto in appearance alone. Mortia was brutally honest with herself and everyone around her, often to the point of alienating them in the process. She was strict, to the point, and held little patience. Naturally, it didn't take much to spark a rivalry between the two sisters - each convincing themselves that the other was the only thing inbetween themselves and their mother's love.

Their first creations, the elves, were the only living creatures made in harmony amongst the rival sisters. Even then, the two races were made according to each goddess's taste and reflected some of their matrons' inner qualities. They both showed the True Goddess their creations, wishing to know which she loved best. She refused to pick just one, as the True Goddess loved all. Neither sister was pleased to hear this, so again and again they would bring a new species into their world - each either a vain attempt at winning all of her mother's love or a not-so-subtle jab or attack against the other's shortcomings.

Eventually, their efforts forged an all out war, for the first time spilling blood on the True Goddess's previously untainted earth. Furious and fed up with their fighting, the True Goddess split the world in two - sealing her daughters in their own sepparate temples - these buildings being as far from each other on the previously whole continent as could possibly be. Their creations would be their only company, their only way of interacting with the world that they were so intent on ruining.

Since then, the two halves have become two sepparate and diverse countries, named and almost modeled after their matron goddess. These lands were known as Mystocentria and Mythomortia. Like their matrons, even to this very day, the two halves desperately despise one another - refusing to put away their spite for even a moment, and in doing so, refusing to make the world whole once more.

єℓємєитs αи∂ єℓємєитαℓ ɢєиєяαℓs

There are four base elements to nature magic; these elements are commonly known as Fire, Wind, Earth, and Water. In the two countries of α ωoяℓ∂ ∂єvι∂є∂, these elements hold both great magical and sociocultural value. For the former, most species can only use elemental magic. Teleportation is but a myth, the creation of life outside of regular reproduction nigh impossible, and "perfect ressurections" nothing more than a tragic and unrealistic thing to hope for at best. Each individual has a strong resonance with one - and only one - of the given elements. Depending on which one he or she resonates with, he or she will be far more talented with that field of magic and far weaker with its oppossite, assuming that said individual can use any magic at all.

For the latter, each not only represents a figure of nature - but is used in day to day life to describe a being's personality in a way similar to how we associate certain traits and horroscopes with signs of the zodiac in real life. These are called Affinities. One's Affinity, like our Zodiac signs, very commonly have basic personality traits associated with it. Unlike the Zodiac, however, an Affinity is never used as a basis for measuring daily luck nor does it have anything to do with one's date of birth. An Affinity is formed within the soul during infancy and sometimes childhood, using both the species and home enviornment as a factor to develop it. Later on in life, one's Affinity can over certain resistances and a tolerance against certain forms of damage. (For example, one with a strong
Water Affinity might be ressilient towards cold or could breath for a longer time than most under water - assuming one is not of an underwater species to begin with.) One's Affinity, the stronger it is, can also give a being extra weaknesses it might not have otherwise held. (For example, one with an Affinity for Fire would be far less effective in cold or damp enviornments - and would be VERY unlikely to ever develop any sort of skill in swimming.)

As one can imagine, there exist certain individuals who outshine all others in their Affinity's Strength. Only eight have ever gone above and beyond that point, reaching their pique potential with their Affinity and the magic that it controls. This cannot be done without devine intervention, without the favor of either Mysto or Mortia. Those that have reached this pique are called Elemental Generals, leaders of the elemental armies of the two goddesses. (Do not be mistaken; Elemental Generals are not simply leaders of military endeavors. They are the true leaders of their people, monarchs of more dominant species who make all of the major political decisions in both times of peace and war.) Each is a figure of legend, a hero to his or her people and a nightmare to his or her foes. They are subject to just as much demonization amongst outsiders as they are adoration amongst their kind, and for very good reason. Each of the Elemental Generals, despite their amazing accomplishments and unmatched prowess in combat with their element, have greatly sinned in some form or another - having earned strong disfavor from the True Goddess herself. Thankfully, Elemental Generals do not often involve themselves in the petty feuds and fights of the lesser peoples. They save their strength only for the most important of wars, or to a far lesser extent, the protection of themselves and their people as a whole.

⊱ нυмαиιтч ⊰

In the two countries of Mystocentria and Mythomortia, there is a broad variety of inhabitants as far as different species are concerned. However, a majority of the species only have one single gender - meaning that they must rely on the aid of the elves in order to reproduce. The offspring of one of a one-gendered-species and an elf would always be the same species as their same-sex parent. Ten times out of ten, this meant that the one-gendered-species parent would be a proud parent of the newest addition to his or her race. At one point, the elves were too frequently coupling with and/or marrying the peoples of these races, threatening the elves with loss of power over the other races - extinction even - if they did not stop reproducing other species and start producing more elvish offspring. Cutting the non-elvish people off from reproduction entirely, however, was simply not an option. Doing so would only invoke their wrath, leading to violent retribution and retaliation. At the time, that was something they could not afford, for numbers certainly weren't on their side!

Both races of elves faced with a crisis, for only the second time in history working together towards a common goal, the Arcanisan and Aterisan elves summoned forth their mightiest and wisest of magicians. For a hundred years they begrudgingly cooperated with one another, aiming to create a lesser version of themselves - weaker, magic-less, short-lived versions of themselves with the non-sapient fauna of their lands as a bare base for their experiments. All failed until their final try, which used the bodies of monkies to create the very first human beings. They were intelligent, just as any other sentient species was, yet they had all the short-comings that the elves so desired from them. Each race of elves took half of the humans and introduced them to their perspective countries. The appeal of humans was that they were weak, disposable. They were good to keep as food stock, slaves, servants, and a means of reproduction.

After thousands of years, it became a social taboo for elves to inter-marry with other species. Those who did in public were shamed, ostrasized, sometimes even exiled from smaller communities. Humans were able to eventually gain enough liberties to build their own villages and choose which of their own kind they could marry, but never the right to disobey or resist even the lowliest of other, more magical species.

Mystocentria is the land of Mysto, a goddess closely associated with the ideals of social grace and the extreme importance of education. Arcanisan Elves are the highest ranking species in Mystocentria, and are subsequently the most dominant. The disparity between the lower classes and the upper classes is massive, with the elves at the very top and the humans at the very bottom. Mystocentria is comprised of the East, North, and almost half of the rainforests surrounding the desert at the Center.

Mystocentrians believe that Mysto was the true beloved daughter of the True Goddess, and that Mortia - in her jealousy - framed her for crimes she did not commit - thus convincing the heartbroken True Goddess to abandon them both to their fates. Extremely religious Mystocentrians consider it a lifelong goal to change the mind of the True Goddess, doing what they consider just as to convince the True Goddess of Mysto's innocence and superiority.

sρєcιєs иαмє: Arcanis
ɢєи∂єяs: Females & Males
иαтιvє тo: Mystocentria
coммoи αғғιиιтιєs: Wind, Earth, or Water.
яєρυтαтιoи: Arcanisan elves are notorious for the superiority complex that many of them seem to share. Honored beyond as they sit atop the social and political hierarchy, it is not wise to make an enemy of one should you reside in Mystocentria. It is also fair to assume that any Arcanisan one might come across is skilled in the use of magic.
∂ιєт: Arcanisan elves are herbivores - preffering to eat the local or imported plantlife and dishes made from such versus any form of meat.
oяιɢιи: Along with the Ateris, the Arcanis were the first species created by the two goddesses. The Arcanis were formed and colored after the sun on an eastern landscape, imbued with powerful magic so that they could help Mysto search and shape the world as she saw fit. As they are the first creations and by far the longest lived, this has given them the impression that they are superior to all other species - even going so far as to claim that Mysto and Mortia were the first two elves, respectively.
υиιqυє ρяαcтιcєs: As the most magically inclined species in either continent, Arcanisan elves place a large sum of importance on the advancement and study of magic in day to day life. Working together with the Aterisan elves, the Arcanis accomplished the impossible by creating an entirely new species without the aid of the goddesses - the lowly regarded people now known as humans. As a society, the Arcanis strongly value 'nobility' and 'dignity' as well as a high education. They are most often polite when in the company of others, even as they plot the vicious downfall of their enemies. Although their cities are beautifully built and look like a paradise at first glance, one should be very wary before involving oneself in their polotics or making any sort of partership with them. Behind their beautiful looks and charming words they are vicious and only interested in their own advancement, more than ready to stab you in the back the moment you stop being useful.
яєɢιoиs: Mystocentria.
єxαмρℓєs: Typical Female//Typical Male

sρєcιєs иαмє: Centaur
ɢєи∂єяs: Males
иαтιvє тo: Mystocentria
coммoи αғғιиιтιєs: Fire or Earth
яєρυтαтιoи: Centaurs are notoriously skilled hunters, reputed to be able to capture or fell any beast. They are equally notorious for having no emotional restraint and kidnapping any fair maidens they deem to be suitable mates. For obvious reasons, female elves tend to be heavilly guarded or well equipped for combat on the off chance that they should be travelling through centaur lands. For even more obvious reasons, anyone reputed as a skilled warrior should expect to be challenged to a duel by any Centaurs he or she should come across. The cost of losing is most often enslavement, being kidnapped, slaughtered, or at the very least publicly disgraced.
∂ιєт: Omnivorous. Centaurs preffer to eat fruits and vegetables, but are entirely unwilling to waste even the tiniest morsels of meat from their latest hunt.
oяιɢιи: Centaurs were the second species created by Mysto, specifically created to be able to fight and kill whoever she might wish. It is widely speculated by Mythomortian scholars that it was Centaurs who drew the first drop of blood from one of Mortia's children. However, there isn't much proof to back this claim, so such speculations are never taken as fact.
υиιqυє ρяαcтιcєs: Surprisingly, Centaurs behave with a war-like mentality more suited to a species of Mythomortia, placing great importance on the art of war. It is not uncommon for one with sufficient wealth or reputation amongst the centaurs to hire them as bodyguards, mercenaries, or any other sort of soldier for upcoming battles and wars.
яєɢιoиs: Forestlands or the Rainforests that surround the Desert. Sometimes, exiled or disgraced Centaurs may find home and shelter in the plains of Mythomortia.

иαтιvє тo: Mystocentria & Mythomortia
coммoи αғғιиιтιєs: Wind, Earth, Fire, or Water
яєρυтαтιoи: Humans are considered to be the lowliest of all species, little more than food, a means of reproduction, or disposable slaves to clean the kitchens. Humans were only allowed to choose their spouses and build their own villages within the last 500 years, but are not offered any protection against any monsters that may invade and do as they please with them.
∂ιєт: Omnivorous. They'll eat what they can get.
oяιɢιи: Humans were created not by a goddess but by the combined efforts of both the Arcanis and Ateris elves. The more religious followers of the True Goddess, Mysto, and Mortia tend to regard humans as a blight of nature - a species that should never have existed. They are mainly treated as disposable slaves, food stock, or a mere means for certain species to reproduce.
υиιqυє ρяαcтιcєs: Most humans cannot use magic and only live up two sixty years old without magical help or any other sort of interferance. Most humans tend to quickly obey anything a creature of another species says without question or hesitation, mostly for fear of losing their life or wellbeing.
яєɢιoиs: Everywhere excluding underwater enviornments.
єxαмρℓєs: Typical Male//Typical Female

sρєcιєs иαмє: Molgen // Dwarf
ɢєи∂єяs: Male & Female
иαтιvє тo: Mystocentria & Mythomortia
coммoи αғғιиιтιєs: Earth and Fire
яєρυтαтιoи: The Dwarves are known for their attention to detail, limitless greed and skill in metalwork as well as architecture. A crude and unshaped stone is viewed by Dwarven beliefs much like their children, something which must be molded into a thing of value. The only sign of their great skill above-ground are the marvellous gates they have built leading into their underground kingdoms. Dwarves take pride in their ways of perfecting any craft they undertake and their glorious underworld cities reflective this. As gold and precious metals are valued greatly by many other species, Dwarves generally trade with whoever they can for quality food and luxuries they cannot find in their own subterraen lands.
∂ιєт: Meat when available but primarily herbs, mushrooms and grown crops.
oяιɢιи: At the beginnings of the world, Mortia's early servants came across a shining bright stone atop the great mountains of the world. Her misguided attempts at finding more such jewels ended in the misfortune of her people. This stone, which came to be known in legend as the First Child of the Earth, Mortia boasted and flaunted over, to the great dismay of her sister.
Mysto, wishing for a jewel of her own, sent her spies to the lands of Mythomortia to find her one. Their results were the same as those of the servants of Mortia, but Mysto had learned of her sister's mistake. Instead of sending her servants further above the earth, she commanded them to dig down into the heart of the mountains.
Unfortunately, no magics could effectively pierce the loving work of the True Goddess, and none of her servants possessed enough skill to dig the harsh rock. Luck and misfortune struck at the same time as Mysto's servants found the newly made paths leading beneath the world - to the land of the Goblins. The death of all her servants in these dark places drew her attention and the Goddess came to find what remained of her sister's great jealousy.
To Mysto the goblins were an ugly, cruel species compared to her creations but when they brought forth the treasures of the earth she promised them change. For delivering the many precious jewels they dug up in their eternal excavations, Mysto promised to make them strong and return them to the world above.
Numerous tribes dispelled such promises and dug themselves away deeper into the earth. Some did stay, fallen under the sweet words of the Goddess. The exchange was made and Mysto's newest servants brought to her chests full of gold and jewels - treasures which the Goddess could never have imagined - and so with her magic she empowered these generous creatures. The goblins grew stronger in mind and body - creating the first Dwarve. Before completing her full promise, Mysto realized that fulfilling their wishes and bringing them above ground meant none would ever find her such treasures ever again. In her blind greed, the Goddess prevented them access out of their caves and commanded them to find her more precious stones.
The idea worked, but for the fact that when the Dwarves got their hands on the first of their newest underworld treasures, they felt little desire in letting go of it. Mysto grew bitter in their constant delays until they outright denied her access to their new golden halls under the mountain. In her spite, the Goddess cursed them with the same greed that had led her to act so out of character, forcing them to keep forever digging for more.
υиιqυє ρяαcтιcєs: Mysto's influence on the species was more than a change of appearance, as some Dwarves have found themselves somewhat adequate in the magical arts. Dwarven magicians are rare since a few decide to embrace such skills, preferring to follow the ways of the rest of their brethren.
Initially most Dwarven people were miners, seeking more and more treasures deeper in the earth. But they became struck with hunger they could not satisfy in their barren homes. So the Dwarves dug out of their caves above the earth and brought their precious stones to the various people they found, exchanging it for food and niceties. Even after the creation of underground farms, for mushrooms, etc, to support themselves, the Dwarves actively trade with other nations.
Dwarven make is a sure sign of quality goods, from silverware to arms for war. While a generally peaceful species, some have found that to push a Dwarf too far will only end in your own defeat. They are keen on treasuring the glorious things they have come to develop, and to insult a Dwarf's craft is to ask for a brutal execution.

sρєcιєs иαмє: Drake
ɢєи∂єяs: Males/Females
иαтιvє тo: Mystocentria/Mythomortia
coммoи αғғιиιтιєs: Fire
яєρυтαтιoи: Known for their keen senses and quick thinking, the common drakes are respected and a bit feared as it is rare for them to ow any loyalties. Those that do ally with any side are known for being fiercely loyal and will defend their homes with tooth, claw, and fire.
∂ιєт: Meat, ranging from venison to anything that walks. Or swims, if they're lucky enough.
oяιɢιи: The drakes were born from a union of the earth and the sky. Built from the fires of the earth, molded with the wind of the sky, they were created with care and strength. They come in the form of almost all colors. What few know is that the drakes were born from the purest form of rivalry between Mysto and Mortia. This unusual union of earth and sky began to build when Mysto and Mortia first began their rivalry and it ended when both were sealed away, the released power finishing the molding of these unusual creatures.

While most drakes stayed within the 5-10 foot range, a few incredibly rare exceptions can occur where the individual drake grows past 20 feet. When such a feat occurs, the drake is considered a dragon: a mythical creature in draco-lore of strength and fire hot enough to melt steel. This, however, is simply an unconfirmed myth, as the last "dragon" was reported to have lived 500 years ago and was killed in his sleep.
υиιqυє ρяαcтιcєs: A drake will settle down for several years with a mate in order to have a clutch of eggs, the usual number of eggs ranging from 5 to 10. Once the broodlings are old enough, they will leave their home to start their own family. Due to this, an area within several leagues of the nest can be hunted clean out of large game, much to the disapproval of local hunters and farmers.

яєρυтαтιoи: Fairies are highly regarded in Mystocentria, almost always in the upper echelons of society of Arcanisan cities. They are renouned for their beauty, even more so for their magnificent singing voices. It is not uncommon to hire a fairy for espionage and entertainment alike.
∂ιєт: Herbivorous. Fairies preffer eating berries or otherwise smaller herbs.
oяιɢιи: Mysto created the fairies from her very own magic, hair, and essense - wishing to create a people whose beauty and charm reflected her own. They looked similar to her Arcanisan elves, except with wings befitting the most regal of butterflies. They were also shorter, often 5'3" feet tall at the very most. Their slender, delicate figures well suited to flying or the art of graceful dance.
υиιqυє ρяαcтιcєs: Fairies have a special magic called 'Charm', in which they can lightly influence more magical species to see things from their point of view or temporarilly dominate the minds of lesser, non-magically inclined species. This ability often requires a massive ammount of magic and energy on their part, however, so it is not often used outside of emergencies or courtship.

They are looked down upon by most practitioners of magic for using what is considered a primitive style of magic. However, as much as they are untrusted and looked down upon they are also feared for their connection to the unknown. They are known for having a close connection to the natural world around them.
∂ιєт: Omnivorous. They'll eat meat or vegtables whatever they can find.
oяιɢιи: Witches were one of the later species created by Mysto in an attempt to create a species to guard the outskirts. These creatures were made from a mix of magic, nature, and blood from Mysto. They were made to be outsiders who understood magic on a primal occultic level and guard against Mortia's creatures should they be unfortunate enough to run into cross their path.
υиιqυє ρяαcтιcєs: Witches have a special special practice of the occult known as witchcraft which allows them to use 'Hexes', this allows them to place small curses on other species that cause harm to them or a small area around them. These require the witch to have a wand crafted in nature as well as a complex ritual to achieve success.

Mythomortia is the land of Mortia, a goddess keen on hands-on work and warfare. Crafts such as smithing, tailoring, farming, potion brewing, or anything having to do with proffessional combat are very highly regarded. Family is held with upmost honor and respect, especially those of a previous generation. Instead of being ruled over by elective poloticians, mayors, or kings, cities in Mythomortia are run by the various Guilds devoted to trade and merchantilism. Most often, it will be the Aterisan elves or other high-standing species that own said guilds or succeeding establishments while the lower ranking species are the apprentices and tradeworkers. This makes the difference between the higher ranks and the servants/slaves quite a bit less depressingly obvious than that in Mystocentria. Unfortunately, these beings still are low-class or hardly payed slaves, so all the credit of their creations shall always go to their employers.

Mythomortians believe that it was Mortia who was the favored daughter, and that it was Mysto who's actions lead them both to be abandoned and sealed away by the True Goddess. Mythomortians believe that Mysto, using her wicked wiles, tricked Mortia into doing something otherwise forbidden - leading the True Goddess to catch her in the act. Instead of simply forsaking Mortia, however, she sealed them both away.

яєρυтαтιoи: Aterisan Elves are the dominant species of Mythomortia, very well known for their nearly unmatched battle prowess and their fondness for various trades. They are not nearly as judgemental and roundabout in their policies as the Arcanisans are, but they are thrice as blunt and quite obviously the more physically violent of the two.
∂ιєт: Omnivorous. Life in the Desert can be rather harsh, so one can't afford to be picky when there are less scorpions to hunt that year or if the cactii just aren't growing quickly enough. (Again, one of the many reasons why they are so fond of trading.)
oяιɢιи: Aterisans were originally created by Mortia at the same time that the Arcanisans were created by Mysto in an attempt to impress the True Goddess. Aterisans were designed with both beauty and brawn in mind, as to be able to both provide charming company and with actual usefulness in day to day work. They were colored after the midnight moon against the dunes of the center desert. They, like the Arcanisans, believe themselves to be the superior species - yet they do not lord it over the other species nearly as much as their Mystocentrian counterparts do.
υиιqυє ρяαcтιcєs: Aterisans trade with the Vul-Infusco in the mountains for water, mostly by the underground caverns that connect the desert and mountain caves.

иαтιvє тo: Mythomortia
coммoи αғғιиιтιєs: Water
яєρυтαтιoи: Black-Scales are highly feared by all but themselves, even by other mermaids or Mythomortians. They are the second creations of Mortia, the carnivorous sea-dwelling maidens who survive off of the meat of land-dwellers and large, dangerous sea creatures. All of them have sharp fangs and surprisingly strong, durable bodies. Angering one is never a suggested course of action, not even those that walk on land.
∂ιєт: Carnivorous. Most strongly preffer the flesh of elves or humans.
oяιɢιи: Black-Scales are the third creations of Mortia. They were originally created to be beautiful songstresses of the sea, pleasant company by the waterside. However, due to a careless mistake on Mortia's part, they did not develop properly as other mermaids did - for they needed the flesh of land-dwellers in order to survive. In the earlier days, this was seen as down right abominable, leading them to treat the Black-Scales with utter distain. This treatment never faded over the years. Sure, the populas may have learned to respect the Black-Scales. Sure, they may have a considerable ammount of power in Mythomortia. That does not mean that anyone likes them. Not that most of them honestly care what their food thinks...
υиιqυє ρяαcтιcєs: Black-Scales don't often abduct males for reproduction - for the most part, they simply see surface dwellers as food. On the rare instance that a surface-dweller impresses a Black-Scale enough to make her stop thinking of him as food, abduction is nearly guaranteed. Those that become 'husbands' in this manner are most often provided with a steady supply of the Black-Scales blood, which will allow him to breath and survive in their underwater cities. These 'husbands', for obvious reasons, are almost never allowed out of their Black-Scale 'wife's' domain. On a completely unrelated note, like all other mermaids do, their surname is never decided by which their parents' surnames are. They always address themselves as -Chosen Name- -Color-Scale. For example, General ____ Black-Scale, Mortia's Water Elemental General.

яєρυтαтιoи: Generally viewed as outcasts from even the most isolated Dwarven societies, they are rejected by the above-ground world. Only a few appreciate the fine skill the Goblins have at obtaining valuable resources on a large scale.
∂ιєт: Meat, minerals and bone
oяιɢιи: Mortia's envy - the harpies - brought her once a shining stone from the mountains they watched the world from. The stone was the first of it's kin to reach the surface, bright blue and shimmering in the sunlight - it reminded the Goddess of her mother's brilliant eyes. In her greed she commanded the precise eyes of the Harpies to look upon their mountain, instead of the warring lands below, and to find her her gems.
To her great frustration, there was not a single stone similar to the first upon the rock. This was when the half-birds suggested it could have come from the sky - a personal gift from the True Goddess herself - and they backed it up with their honest statements of how they could see the sky lit up on rare nights with passing lights. These lights, from somewhere far off, were far beyond their abilities of flight but not beyond the anger of the Goddess.
Mortia commanded the Harpies take to the sky and bring her another stone. The 200 strongest of their kin were named Liber Caelum - children of the sky - and each of them took off in the dead of night the very next time the night sky appeared to fill with raining stars. No harpy ever returned from the sky back to their homes, but wanderers have discovered out of place harpy remains within the areas surrounding the mountains - the last remnants of those who took up and flew till their wings ached, only to fall back to the Earth's embrace.

Whether by curse or miracle, not every single one of the Liber Caelum perished. Some abandoned their quest, while others survived the great fall. Feeling betrayed and punished for naught, the remaining members of the original 200 withdrew beneath the mountains they used to call home. They dug deep, their talons fashioning to dull nails in their attempts at constructing a new home. Their skin grew black from the time they spent underground, their feathers withered, and their beaks became more like snouts. These creatures became the Vul-Infusco, the people turned to darkness - Goblins.

While lacking the industrialization of the Dwarves, the Goblins more than make up for it in numbers.

υиιqυє ρяαcтιcєs: Rather than fancy architects or craftsmen, the goblins pride the skills at hunting and general resourcefulness. Above ground a few specialized Goblins have been employed as assassins and spies.
Goblins live underground in pockets dug into the rough stone walls of their expansive cave systems.
The goblins favor the strong; those able to dig the hardest and able to find the rarest of minerals, as well as those those who hunt the most delicious meats. Such skilled individuals rise to form a type of Tribe Chief, usually governing a hundred others of their kind in a single tribe. Goblin tribes settle in their own areas and dig deeper to expand their territory. If a certain tribe has access to a particularly rich mineral source, it is likely to lead to war between other Tribes keen on securing such things - whether as a statement of power, for food or for trade with those who dwell above-ground.

яєɢιoиs: The Goblins occupy vast underground caves which are always being dug to further, unknown distances.

яєρυтαтιoи: The Harpies are known for their keen eyes and powerful legs, at the ends of which hang dagger-like talons. They are known to pick off anything and anyone they spot travelling the areas surrounding their nests - whether that is for the sake of finding male partners or for food, or both. It is rumoured that the Harpies, most likely in packs, tend to even kidnap fully grown centaurs - which puts them on par with the Blackscale Mer as the fiercest carnivorous species in the realm.
While the species are generally viewed as aggressive and untrusting to anyone besides their own, they find themselves as servants of Mortia. It is debatable if that is due to their origin or simply because of her dominant female nature.
Other species have found allegiance with the Harpies as a result of offering them bright objects or food as gifts. Any gift bearing visitor must be careful however, or they may be considered a part of the package themselves.
∂ιєт: Meat, any.
oяιɢιи: Mortia's envy grew wicked at the sight of Mytho's winged creations - the first birds of the realm. Mortia's resolve was to steal away the pride of the sky - the majestic golden eagles - and with her malicious power turned them to serve her - creating the first Harpies.
These wicked creatures preyed on the other occupants of the sky mercilessly, fulfilling the wishes the Goddess had made upon their creation. That was until the creation of Mytho's fairies, who halted the Harpy domination with their magics and forced them into isolation on the solitary mountain peaks.
υиιqυє ρяαcтιcєs: Harpies live in close family relationships with each other and carry great respect and kindness for all of their own kind. They have a paternal culture, where younger Harpies are often watched over by several older ones - so called Nest Mothers.
Anyone outside their own kind is fair game as far as food and mates go of course. The harpies only respect those physically strong and have extreme distaste towards anyone magically inclined.

иαтιvє тo: Mythomortia
coммoи αғғιиιтιєs: Earth
яєρυтαтιoи: The werewolf kind have effectively been split into two groups.
There are those who have integrated successfully into Mythomortian society, as their great strength makes them excellent laborers and soldiers. Werewolves, if not enlisted in the Mythomortian army, commonly take on hardy delivery tasks, for their speed and power makes them superb carriers and they can easily defend their held goods.
Then there are the Wild Ones, the werewolves who purposefully remove themselves from more cultured species and live in nomadic tribes. Generally viewed as savages, they are known to raid small unguarded villages for food and potential mates.
∂ιєт: Meat and fish dominantly, particularly for city-wolves. But in tribes they tend to consume forest berries and herbs and what meat they can hunt in the wild.
oяιɢιи: Werewolves are generally thought of as having been the second species created by Mortia, specifically to combat Mysto's centaurs. Considering Mysto's grace as her weakness, Mortia intended to create the perfect beasts of war - ruthless, merciless and blood thirsty. Her idea succeeded, but a little too well. The Werewolves were rebellious and did not take kindly to being ordered by the Goddess. There were minimal conflicts between the Werewolves and the Aterisan elves, as the beasts happily accepted Mortia's wishes when it involved going into war. They were also whipped into order when the Goddess saw them as going out of line.
This system was broken when the Goddesses were sealed and the Werewolves felt little need to keep supporting her cause. The werewolves were instantly taken to war against even the Aterisan elves. Their boldness was their undoing, however, as the werewolves could not maintain sufficient numbers to pose a real threat to any nation, much less all of them.
The werewolves isolated themselves, going into hiding from the other species now keen on hunting them. They became nomads with no set homes, seeking only the safest placest to stay before moving on.
The integration of werewolves into Mythomortian society began after the Elves gained the support of certain Werewolf tribes in significant conflicts against the Centaurs.
History records these werewolves as having maintained their incredible fighting skill and strength through their years as nomads, but as more calm and orderly than in their early years.
Aterisan elves respected their potential and, with slight racial tensions, werewolves began joining the rest of Mythomortian society. This is also recognized by some werewolves as the only way to sustain their species, due to their lacking numbers, as only in civillized society can they find the best potential partners.
υиιqυє ρяαcтιcєs: While Werewolves living in cities are content enough to comply with the religious customs of the Elves, their more uncivillized cousins share little of such ideas. It is the belief of the werewolf tribes that its only natural to follow one's more animalistic urges and not to fight what is in their nature. They find the concept of following someone elses ideas, to the point of worship, laughable and constricting.
яєɢιoиs: Mythomortian cities for city-wolves. The nomads have been found travelling wherever on the continent they can escape the confines of civillization's rules and stick to places that provides them with food - particularly forests.

ɢєи∂єяs: Male & Female
иαтιvє тo: Mythomortia
coммoи αғғιиιтιєs: Earth
яєρυтαтιoи: All minotaurs can be observed to carry certain personal traits - they are very prideful and stubborn, yet loyal.
Bound by ways dedicated entirely to honor, the Minotaurs take great pride in their dominating nature - and especially their horns. As a Minotaur, to lose your horns is to lose your soul and place in society - the cutting of the horns is as such carried out in punishment for the most heinous of crimes.
They see all other species as being below them, as it is widely believed in Minotaur society that they are the chosen warriors who will one day free Goddess Mortia through their victories against the Mystocentrians.
No other species is considered to exceed the physical dominance displayed by the Minotaurs. Their strength is extreme, though they commonly lack the intelligence of even the most slow witted Elf.
Bred for war, the Minotaurs are quick to rise in support of any follower of Mortia when there is chance for fame to be earned through combat.
∂ιєт: Plants, fish and soups mostly. They do not have the sharp teeth to process thick meat.
oяιɢιи: With the lack of control she possessed over the Werewolf kind, Mortia knew she needed subjects that were more loyal. Stealing their animalistic creature but for their aggression and filling them with pride, Mortia brought forth the Minotaurs. They were her most perfect tools for war and always keen on proving themselves to the Goddess in combat.
While her more intelligent supporters laid the plans, it was the task of the Minotaurs to carry it out.
After the sealing of their Goddess, the Minotaurs have found few chances to participate in warfare, as only a few recognized individuals from other species may talk amongst the Warchief of Minotaurs. Few have given them a worthwhile cause to apply themselves. While they support Mortia's plans of conquest they are only likely to take up arms at the demands of her Elemental Generals - the most respected beings from the other species.
υиιqυє ρяαcтιcєs: Their kind commonly think defeat is never an option and if they are shamed, their lives are forfeit.
The Minotaurs always name their leader the strongest of their kind, the one that can best the previous ruler in brute strength. The official title of their head of state is Warchief, for there is no greater honor than to lead others to war in their society.
During more peaceful times, more philosophical Minotaurs have claimed that instead of war, it is respectful to take up a profession that compliments the strength of one such as them. This is a necessary view for the Minotaur public as they tended to get very agigated and lashed out when their leaders deemed war time to be over, even if just temporarily.
Their most appreciated crafts include the making of weapons. Minotaur blacksmiths pride themselves in being able to create tools for war, especially ones that only a person with the strength of a minotaur could use.
Another interest is the construction of fortifications. Minotaur housing is always built of stone and not considered worthwhile to in if another Minotaur is able to break it down. This has been taken to great lengths, even to the point where Minotaur lands are dominated by high forts and grand castles, the greatest challenge to anyone attempting to lay siege to their people.

вιo: Young Mr Mainyu was born to a family of Arcanisan warmages in Mystocentria. As a part of the noble classes, he grew up very priviledged and his goal in life was to participate in Mysto's religious war against the forces of Mortia. He attended school for basic education, advanced education, magical teachings and became the youngest member of the Council of Magi at the Mystocentrian Academy for Magical Advancement, one of the leading mages schools in Mystocentria.
When he came of age, Ahriman was a learned and very capable Elf, and with pride he joined the Mystocentrian military. Starting out as a recruit, he worked his way up to the Warmages Battalion, the primary magical fighting force in the Mystocentrian army.
His first chance at real fighting came in few border squabbles between unruly Mystocentrian and Mythomortian people. A surprisingly lucky set back took place, as Ahriman's commander fell in combat and he took charge of the remaining combatants under his voice. After their victory and having returned home, higher ups promoted Ahriman officially to the position of Commander of the Warmages Battalion. It was a testing period at first, during which he proved himself on several occasions in all out war. He was a proud and powerful paladin of Mysto, carrying her hatred for her enemies on his shoulders to combat, where his fellows and enemies alike felt his passion for doing the work of his Goddess. While terrifying his opponents with his ferocity and magical skill, he greatly empowered those following him.

Then came the day upon which he died.

Ahriman's forces were called to the front line to take a small village, nothing unusual. Rumours were that the citizen were supplying the nearby Mythomortian armies and in fact housed some of their troops while they rested. Upon arrival, the Warmages Battalion came face to face with a significant portion of the entire Mythomortian army. Reinforcements were called, they just had to hold out their minimal numbers against the enemy for some time.
The fighting was relentless but through it all Ahriman's passion and confidence kept the spirits of his warriors up, even when their bodies were failing. Ahriman himself felt like he was being led by a higher power. A voice in his head encouraged him forth with every step he took, every life he stole and with every spell he cast. His soldiers would later comment on him having lost his senses, only being lead by the strength he held in Mysto herself.
By the time the Mystocentrian main army arrived, the Warmages were down to a few stragglers. including Ahriman, in the midst of their enemies unceasing numbers.

Then, with the support of their main army, the Mystocentrian's were able to force the Mythomortian's to retreat. Ahriman's body was discovered on the battlefield, full of wounds to the point it was a surprise it still held together, and all of his blood gone. The few that had fought alongside him insisted he had not taken a single hit the moment the reinforcements arrived, meaning he had sustained to the end with these wounds. Whatever the truth, the mangled corpse was returned to Mystocentria and taken to Mysto's temple before his arranged burial.

The Goddess Mysto had other plans for her brave paladin however. Ahriman's remains, still in his combat gear, arose from its place on the temple altar. The man could hear his Goddess calling for him still, there was much to be done, the war was not over - He could not possibly leave this world - and so she brought him back.

It was a shocking sight to all who witnessed it, but they all recognized, as all people of Mystocentria came to recognize - He was chosen for a new life by Mysto herself.
Ahriman became the Earth Elemental General of Mystocentria and leader of the Arcanisan kingdom. He has now lived for numerous years and among his people he carries the greatest of respect - he is the representative of Mysto's great power in this world.

oтнєя: The physical body Ahriman possesses now is completely skeletal, yet he has eerie glowing magical orbs for eyes - the single sign of his life in his surreal form.
Ahriman tends to dress in a way that covers up his bones and tends to wear a variety of masks for public occasions, meetings and in war. It is considered the highest honor to witness his true form - what Mysto herself made him to.
Between his ribs, over where for a mortal would have their heart, Ahriman keeps a small figurine of Mysto. It is tied with thin silver chains to his ribcage.

вιo: The tale of much of Irilentath's life has been filled with death and fighting for survival. It hasn't been until recent years that Irilentath has been able to find peace, and even that is being threatened by the very country he fled from. Irileth, a gold drake, was born on the very border of Mythomortia. Naturally, there was plenty of fighting between the two countries. However, he and his broodmates were left untouched for the most part. As Irilentath grew, however, it became obvious that he wasn't like other drakes. He was bigger than his brothers and sisters, doubling their size within 5 years. By his 10th year, he was the same size, if not bigger, than most adults. By the time he left to find himself a mate, he was twice the size of his parents, a full 20 feet long with a wingspan of 35 feet. On his 20th year, he found a mate and set about to having a clutch of his own. He, however, was not so fortunate as his parents.

After his return from hunting he found his mate slaughtered and half his clutch of eggs missing, the other half destroyed. Irilentath, filled with rage, entered a frenzy, killing anything and everything in sight. He attacked nearby towns in Mythomortia, razing them to the ground and killing everything that moved. He destroyed 5 towns before something caused him to calm down and stop. Realizing his error, he fled across the border, a Mythomortian army at his tail. It was then that he realized his second error: he was caught between two armies: One a Mystocentrian, the other a Mythomortian. With no room to escape, he turned on the Mythomortian army, death in his eyes and fought and raged with draco-fire and claw. Hours of fighting later, a mortally wounded Irilentath collapsed in front of the victorious Mystocentrian general. Bleeding, hungry, and exhausted, he thought his time had come. It seems the general and Mysto had other plans.

A soothing warmth filled him and his wounds closed and healed. Irilenth, confused but alive, questioned what had happened. As it turned out, the Mystocentrian army was vastly outnumbered. Had it not been for the ferocity of Irilentath, the army would have been crushed. Irilentath had found a place for himself within the Mystocentrian court through the influence of Mysto, a feat that no drake had done before. It seemed he could finally live a more peaceful life, one where he wouldn't have to worry about death waiting around the corner.
oтнєя:Due to his size, looks, and background, few people come to him for advice, believing that he would always jump at the thought of war for every problem that arose. However, he would rather spend his days relaxing in the sun and lazily flying about as opposed to fighting for his life.

вιo: not much is known about Sasha, most of it rumors and speculation, what is known is that she is a witch who lives in the frozen tundra of the eastern lands, extremely powerful and usually extremely cold hearted.

The other thing that is widely known is how she came to be the Water General of Mystocentria. During one of the many fights between Mythomortia and Mystocentria, the Mortian army had managed to push into the Eastern Tundra, chasing after the wounded Mystocentrian army. The path for the Mystocentrian army was clear and usually unimpeded, while the Mortian army was hindered by storms and freezing winds, managing to push on the Mortian army continued until they cornered the Mystocentrian army up against a cliff.

Just before the Mortian army could wipe out the Mystocentrian, a great wind blew up and Sasha appeared from ontop the cliff, jumping off and descending upon the Mortian army with all the fury of the Eastern storms. The Mythomortians, having been forced to trek through the tundra to get this far, hindered by HER storms, were easy prey for her and the surviving Mystocentrians.

Once the Mythomortians lay dead and dieing an icy wind blew up causing the snow to drift and cover the bodies, so that the sight of such pathetic creatures would not mar Mysto's lands. The journey for the battered survivors was as easy as it could be through the tundra, aided by Sasha as she lead them home, unanimously declared their general the survivors refused to believe that she was not blessed by Mysto herself.

For the longest while she was trained to believe that her only purpose in life was to do back-breaking work on the farm land until she either fell down dead, got eaten by a hungry passerby monster, or got abducted to have some strange creature's ungreatful hellspawn. On her twelfth birthday, the elf that owned her farm went out of business - having lost his/her rights to the farm and all the humans on it - decided it would be appropriate to have each of them killed so that the new owner couldn't profit from any of them. Some sympathetic soul rescued Romhild during the attack, thankfully, but she never forgot the agonized faces of her loved ones as they died horribly and in great pain. At first, all Romhild wanted to do was pretend as if nothing had ever happened. Over the years, however, her mind slowly changed. She grew angry. Bitter. It wasn't too long until she started training amongst low-key mercenaries, hoping for the chance to one day get her revenge. More than that, Romhild wishes to bring down the authority of elves over humans once and for all - to make sure that humans are granted the same rights as any other being in the land of Mystocentria.
oтнєя: Currently, Romhild is but a neophyte swordswoman. Due to her childhood on the farm, she is dilligent and hard-working by nature with more physical strength than many human females tend to have. She can be somewhat short-tempered, especially in regards to elves with power, but generally cares more for the safety of others than she does for her own.

вιo: Gmurk was born to one of the farthest tribes living away from the central goblin hub in Mythomortia. As good as any Goblin in finding treasure by smell and knack alone, Gmurk always finds he has had a bit of luck with all that he does.
He thought his life was over when, as quite a young goblin man, he lost his grip while climbing the wall of a chasm in an attempt to reach what he thought to be a gold mineral vein.
The goblin fell to depths none in his tribe had yet traveled but then, rather than his face meeting with a surface of bare flat rock, he landed in a roaring underground river. The currents pushed the Goblin far and he struggled his hardest to get a breath whenever his head popped above water - since like most goblins, he lacked the ability to swim.
Gmurk found himself washed out the mountains his tribe had always lived in and in a small cave, the visible entrance to which lead to the strikingly bright outside world. Just when he thought he had lost everything and would struggle to find his way back to his home through the world in the outside, in the very cave he had ended in, he discovered a cluster of Drake eggs.
The Goblins were not unfamiliar with the race of gigantic reptiles. They often dug into their nests and Drake Eggs were the most priced foodstuff among their kind, as well as the biggest source of money if traded to the strangers from above ground.
The eggs had come from a group of raiders that had taken refuge in the cave, and while none of them were present, Gmurk helped himself to their treasures and scurried off.
In his travels to... well, wherever he might be able to sell the drake eggs, he enjoyed the impressive sights of the sunlit world. Though it took quite a while for his eyes to adjust, he enjoyed the unfamiliar scenery. That was until things really took for the worst, as a traveling caravan of rather nasty looking elves appeared along the same road he was walking. He was confident and pleasant in his greeting, but the elves would have none of it. The Goblin would never have expected to be treated so poorly by random stranger, especially being beaten and robbed.
Before he was killed though, a great roar tore open the sky and the Drake the eggs belonged to appeared. Now, the elves had just stolen these and it did not appear they were keen on letting them go. A fight ensued, during which Gmurk decided it best to leave as quickly as he could - as soon as he had taken along anything he could carry from the distracted elves.
Gmurk was quickly learning that out here, it was survival of the fittest - much like underground, but so much easier. In his first visit to an actual civilized village, the Goblin found hospitality hard to come by but his wishes were reluctantly complied with when he showed the people items they obviously found valuable.
The sun-dwellers rarely impressed him in their ways of thinking, easily fooled and bargained with, apparently unable to appreciate what was of value and what wasn't.
He laughed loudly to himself when a once human accepted a fist sized glob of gold in exchange for a whole chicken. Oh how his tribesmen would find it ridiculous how cheap these above ground folk were, especially with food.
Gmurk has become a very well traveled trader in the black markets of Mystocentrian cities. People in the business know when you need something that isn't entirely legal, Gmurk is one of the few people who can guarantee success.

Drenched in Arcanisan culture, Llewelyn adhered to her religion, and to her father. Her father, Dowyn Dulaman, had helped in the building of the high council, while her mother, Awria, was known as well for her beauty and nobility. After their deaths, Llewelyn, their only daughter, took their places in the high council. There was some deliberation over this because of her young age, but when put to a vote, it was a unanimous decision. She was fifty at the time.
Because of her high standing, Llewelyn, despite her sweet behavior, is feared by most humans. Holding the Arcanisan tradition of thinking humans savage, and being one of the most influential figures on the High Council is a dangerous mix. There are many nasty rumors that float around Mystocentria about her. For example: if a human listens to her beautiful singing voice for over a moment, your brains will boil and come out your ears.
Llewelyn is contained in the Silver Hall palace of Haeriyn'moor, where the High Council meets every month. They wish for her wisdom, but are afraid of her becoming corrupted by the world’s troubles. Therefore, she is a hidden treasure, highly coveted by the Elves. She sits alone, staring out the window, practicing her powers with water, and advising the High Countess in secret. More than anything, she wishes to see the world for herself…but the council would never allow it. As a result, she prays, studies, sings--often her voice can be heard carrying over the lands of her home. She knows of the war and destruction, but cannot help feeling that the world is good and beautiful. The council tells her the humans are cruel and savage, but she does not believe it. She keeps her opinions a secret. By believing those things, Llewelyn feels as though she would abandon her people.

вιo: The moon was full that night and the stars shined brightly, it was a good omen or so they said. That was the night Demios was born in a small village hidden in the forest. He was the first male born to the village in a long time and the village elder said he was a special one. This was the beginning of his life and for a while his life seemed good. He had two loving parents who raised and protected him. He was trained by the village elder how to use his magic and how to understand nature. He learned to watch for signs and how to bond with the natural world. At times he felt like he could feel the trees breathe. The village elder even helped him raise his own familiar a pet raven he named Trinius. He was truly happy with life. However, the good times weren't meant to last.

It was while he was young barely nine and his family was traveling to the city his parents hoping to show Demios the good side of the world around him. He was so excited to see the city, to get to know people other than his village, but fate had other plans. One night his parents were walking in a small park area when they were surrounded and ambushed. The group didn't appreciate witches in their area of town seeing them as a plague to the 'civilized' citizens of the city. Demios's father convinced his mother to take him and run to safety. His mother sadly agreed and rushed away as fast as she could run with the young boy. Demios could hear his fathers screams of pain in the distance and feel his mothers tears fall upon him as she ran as fast as her feet would carry her. She managed to make it to an alleyway before she had to stop to catch her breath. They hid there for a while before the thugs found and cornered them. His mother frowned knowing she had no choice she pulled out a magical weapon and held it in front of her ready for combat. She managed to scream for her son to escape before a large explosion happened. Demios blacked out before he could even begin to run. Demios awoke several hours later disoriented and confused. It wasn't long after that when a human woman stumbled across an injured and crying Demios. Feeling sorry for the boy she consoled him and bonded with him making him feel less alone. That human was Miriallia, and with some time she convinced the duke she was employed by to take him in as a servant boy and mystic.

It didn't take much after that for Demios to become close to Miriallia and see her as a best friend and sister figure. True to the deal Demios spent many days serving the duke and studying mystical practices as well as his own magic in order to thank the duke and Miriallia for taking him in and taking care of him, but over the years he watched Miriallia's pain grow and his resentment for the duke and his kind for all the pain they inflicted on those beneath them grew. Soon he took personal charge of taking care of her mental state, often giving her herbs and lotions that would help ease her emotional pain a bit. Then one night she came to him and told him of her plan to escape, and while he was hesitant at first fearing for her well being, he knew he owed her his life and he agreed to help. Gathering all the necessary items he formed the best hex he could and gave it to her to use on the duke on the condition he escape with her and they never come back. Once they escaped Demios could only hope that they had done the right thing. However, he is starting to realize that his resentment may be larger than he realized.

She spent her days keeping the manner clean and she got to eat all the table scraps she wanted. But when she grew older, she grew into into a woman's body, and her owner noticed. It was because of her overall health and her figure that she was chosen out of the other female slaves to make the Duke an heir. As the Duke didn't want any half breeds, Miriallia was enchanted as all breeders are, to only produce a pure race, the race of the father. Over the next several years, Miriallia gave birth to three children for the Duke. After he was finished with heirs, he began to loan her out to other high lords (for a price) who needed children but had no wives. With every child that was ripped from her arms, Miriallia's sanity slowly began to deteriorate. When Miriallia turned 25, with yet another new life growing inside her, she knew she couldn't bear loosing another child. And so one night, she told her childhood friend Demios that she planned to run away. He helped her escape by casting a hex upon the Duke, causing him to fall unconscious for several hours. By the time the Duke woke, Miriallia and Demios were already gone.
oтнєя: Miriallia, like most humans, usually shows no signs of magical talent. However, in times of high emotion she can sometimes manipulate fire a little. Though it is uncertain if this is her own skill, or that of the unborn child causing this.

вιo: Initially born among the upper echelons of the Ateris's rulers, Soleiyu was reared with the expectation of becoming a leader upon the battlefield to his peers. His father, Aurelius Rausten, was the closest candidate to becoming the Lord of the underground city of Samiel and had no patience for fostering a weak successor to all of his legacy. His mother, Aideen, herself descended from the House of Lanvega, had been the potent second-in-command to her husband as well as a renown War Mage in service to the powerful elven lord with a particularly aptitude Wind Magic, thus earning her the title of the Dark Tempest. Owing to the enchanted roots of his heritage Soleiyu drew upon the Wind affinity common to his kindred, gifted with the same aptitude as his mother in the arcane arts.

The initial two decades that marked his previous existence fighting for power and survival, the sole off-spring of his parents for one solid reason; his mother had been slain during the conflict for dominance, leaving him to step into her place at his lord father's side in battle. There were no lack of powerful rivals emerging to contend for the stewardship of one of the few cities belonging to the Ateris, as Samiel was an underground oasis will with essential deposits of both groundwater to help nourish the elves in the unforgiving landscape that was their territory and refined jewels often used in spellcrafting and enchanted weaponry that would rise in prominence when trading among the other magical races. By his fortieth year, after another set of decades spent continuing the very fight that had claimed his mother, Lord Aurelius fell a week before his coronation as the ruler of the underground sanctum. Deprived of both his parents the surviving heir to House Rausten proceeded to solidify his personal forces, strengthening and refining his soldiers to become the most dominant combat force within the underground realm of his people.

By his fiftieth namesday, after taking the honorific of 'Nightshroud' for the mantle he had inherited from his father and claiming absolute authority of Samiel, the young Governor was called to lead in one of the more prominent skirmishes between Mythocentria and Mythomortia. The battlefield had been located within the borders of the desert that was his people's domain, as the latest attack by a coalition of Humans, Dwarfs, and Centaur infantrymen being manipulated by the arrogant Arcanis nobility who sought to convert their gem reservoirs for their own ends, deeming it unfit for 'lesser imitations of their perfection' to hold onto such valuable material. Those very words had been spoken by the arrogant sylvan general operating at his discretion to seize control of Samiel for his own personal wealth; Soleiyu had enjoyed himself immensely when he cut down the presumptuous fool personally, his swords dripping crimson ichor at the end of the short but intense weeks of marching and violence. He had lost many of his well-trained corps in the process, but his defeat of the Arcanis forces had solidified his reputation among the far recesses of the underground network that reported on the news. It was said that throughout the minor campaign the wind always seemed to blow violently with the charge of his forces, that the skies themselves would darken as the sign of his enemy's defeat, and that the roar of a tempest followed in the wake of his victories as though the heavens themselves cried out in awe.

One year came and past before the rumors of him being blessed by the winds came to be replaced by another; the Goddess herself, Mortia, had descended to elevate Soleiyu as her General of the Wind. To those outside of the vicinity of Samiel such rumors would be nigh unbelievable to even the most simple-minded and gullible of Ateris children. But every citizen beneath his stewardship, every single one of them who lived and breathed on the day of his fifty-first year, knew the truth of how Mortia's presence had indeed permeated the entirety of their home, the Great Lady Herself taking the throne of the citadel in the center of the city for Her own. All of them, as speaking with a single voice and mind, spoke how the proud Governor had been the first to submit when he came to his chambers only to see the majesty of Her being. It was then, as the speakers would have it, that Soleiyu had bowed before the Goddess, his humility at being chosen beyond his peers leaving him awestruck to have actually been allowed the privilege to gaze upon Her face directly, for only he had been allowed into the inner sanctum of the keep to meet Her. With a Voice that had made him a devout convert down to his heels, She named him to his position as her General, and he had been transformed beyond the rest of his kind. From then on his power over the Wind was unrivaled by all others, his fury like that of a thunderstorm, his movements faster than a roaring gale, and his presence against his enemies outweighing the force of a supercell, all for the sake of preserving the wealth of the Ateris as a whole from those who seek to encroach upon it. As representative of his people he also is tasked with the mission to guard over the borders of Mythomortia, ever vigilant for when he might lead the dark-skinned Ateris against the arrogant Arcanis when next they are provoked.

oтнєя:By all accounts Sol is the youngest of the Elemental Generals as well as one of the youngest members of the nobility among his people at just under a century of experience. His most notable feature are his clear sky blue pupils, an oddity among the overwhelmingly predominant scarlet and violet coloring of his people. His primary focus in combat is maximizing his use of the Wind to augment his battle tactics, personally opting to strike with dual weapons for quick, efficient kills that take up as little time and effort as necessary.

вιo: Magnhild is a minstrel that occassionally visits surface cities of Mythomortia that are closer to the oceon. She is of a strangely motherly disposition, often ending up listening to the drunken woes of complete strangers in the taverns she visits. She is also somewhat of a hopeless romantic, sometimes deeming it fit to try and play matchmaker with some of the lonesome villagers she comes across, without any real regard for species or social status. A peculiar woman, she has the strangest and perhaps most controversial views on current events.
oтнєя: Magnhild does not travel often with others. On the rare occassions in which she does, she is bound to dissappear from the group without a trace sooner than later.

socιαℓ sтαтυs: Low / peasant
occυραтιoи: Labourer / hired muscle / courier
вιo: Wulthgrand was born into one of the numerous werewolf tribes, and quite pleasantly lived his life with his peers as a nomad. The name gnaw-bark comes from his favorite food, the sweet bark of the fruit-bearing Silvys trees. He enjoyed it a lot in his youth.
During his wild life, Wulthgrand gained certain fighting ability in their constant battle against city guards and werewolf hunters.
Life was hard the worst of times when food could not be gathered. It was often the case that his fellow tribesmen fell of starvation rather than at the end of a blade.
Life in the wild seemed a doomed effort, even more so when the tribe was almost completely massacred and all survivors scattered. This was at the hands of a great effort of some local elves, keen to drive them off their lands.
Wulthgrand, while a strong believer in the way of nature, had to submit and seek the confines of civillization to survive.
Work came surprisingly easy within Mythomortia when he displayed knowledge of herbs, great survival skills and the ability to carry a whole heap of junk in a single load.
Wulthgrand works as a delivery man for various traders commonly, travelling the expanses of the wilderness to bring messages and goods to other cities from the Aterisan capital.
oтнєя: If there was one thing the civillized people got right, Wulthgrand believes it was alcohol. He is quite the drinker at taverns and when drunk very social, even when commonly quite held back and calm.
In case you were wondering, yes he is quite fluffy. Just don't call him so.

socιαℓ sтαтυs: Low//Slave
occυραтιoи: Entertainer//Tavern Dancer
вιo: Most slaves are treated very poorly at best and like disposable cattle at worst. For Aamira, this certainly was not the case. She has lived a fairly charmed life for a slave, offered a rich education and an enviornment in which she could freely speak her mind without many if any reprecussions. She does not have many controversial beliefs, and for all intents and purposes, does not see any point in rebelling against her master like some of those silly human rebels do in Mystocentria. (Why fix something that isn't broken, after all?)

She is a skilled dancer, known by her stage name to some, which would be the Blooming Lily of Samiel. She can sing fairly well and can also play certain songs on the lute, but her true talent lays with brewing various forms of alchohol. Much of the beer, grog, mead, or whatever else you might call it that is served in her place of work is brewed especially by herself and a small number of lesser known slaves. Due to how useful she has made herself over the years, her current master is quite reluctant to sell her, setting her price unreasonably high for any that might be interested in buying her. Aamira knows this very well and is quite thankful for this fact, especially since this means she is far less likely to be forced into bearing the child of some sort of large, frightening member of an all-male species - which is a common fate for human women everywhere.
oтнєя: Aamira is 6'3" tall and has a slender build overall. She does not know how to fight by any means, nor is she all that quick of a runner. After all, conditions for her have been pleasant enough for her to have had no need for such skills.

αɢє: 25
иαтιvє ℓαи∂: Mythomortia
socιαℓ sтαтυs: Unacceptable Half-Breed/b*****d
occυραтιoи: Mercenary
вιo: For all of their superiority complex regarding humanity, the more magical races of Mythocentria are far from hesitant at abusing and utilizing their mundane counterparts to best suit their needs. In the case of Gareth, his very existence came about due to the superiority displayed by the Arcanis' dominion over their human counterparts. His father-No, the elven lord who had impregnated his mother, Shauna Eversing, was not worth mention behind his title. Lord Xanthon Naturias was among the most notable of the Arcanis's upper hierarchy, and his contempt for human men was compounded with his taste for taking advantage of human consorts, courtesans, and concubines under the cover of the night to mask his hypocrisy. His mother had been merely the latest of the unfortunate chain of victims to fall prey to the 'noble' Arcanis' predatory nature, with the only key difference from the others being a relatively minor detail. While elven and human unions in the city of Gareth's birth, Nautia, were common enough, he was one of the historically rare mixed breeds spawned by such activity, and (surprisingly) the only one of Naturias' bastards, at least insofar anyone has identified,.

Inheriting his mother's darker coloring against the more cultural traits of the Arcanisian blood in his veins, Gareth spent his childhood living with his mother forced to deal with the hatred of the humans around them and the scorn of his so called 'family'; he was the illegitimate brother to Xanthon's three male heirs, and they were far from reluctant to 'visit' (torment) him whenever they came into the city. By his fourteenth year he gotten adjusted to the inevitable beatings he endured at the hands of his 'brothers', patiently biding his time to save and steal what he could to relocate Shauna at the quickest opportunity. He had even managed to develop a somewhat of a talent with a blade, whether the long edge of a sword or the finer point of a dagger buried within the ribs. A day of his mother's birthday he entered their small wooden house located on the outskirts of Nautia to be confronted with his father, face to face, strangling her for daring to refuse his whims after years of submission and abuse. He had snapped then, using his fire affinity for the first time to set a fire in his attempt to escape. Without his mother he knew there was no one sparing him from the Arcanis's wrath at executing him, and his fear fueled the adrenaline of his flight from the city into the wilderness alone...

Since her murder he was left devoid of his place in the world, soon signing on with a group of older young men wanting to earn themselves a fortune through the spoils of war. With tensions ever persistently high-strung between the two lands he managed to find work as a mercenary by his fifteenth birthday, putting into practice the martial arts he had developed courtesy of the kindness demonstrated to him by the House of Naturias. During the course of the next decade of contracts, missions, and campaigns he participated in, the flames of hatred from his past violently erupted onto the surface in a fit of instinctive and destructive magic. It had been, naturally enough, during a battle between an attempted human rebel group against one of the minor nobility of the Arcanis; he had simply unleashed it one of the elven soldiers who happened to have a passing resemblance to his 'father'. The elf had not died well, after being set on fire and then stabbed in the lungs. Ultimately the skirmish had paid off allowing him to collect enough funds to permanently relocate himself into one of the human cities within Mythomortia (Xylion), deciding to take hone his skills for the Ateris in a bid of vengeance against his paternal heritage.

Once he found his way to the city of Samiel for the highest he was deeply disturbed to find that the Ateris were similarly condescending and prejudicial against him. The thought disturbed him until he realized that the Ateris, and indeed most of the races within Mythomortia, were willing to disregard his appearance as long as he paid well for bartering and was skilled enough to warrant their attention as a warrior. Satisfied that he has found his new place warring against the Arcanis at last, he spends his time alternating between the human city of his choice, usually Xylion due to its proximity to the edge of the desert allowing him free passage between borders, and Samiel in order to enjoy contracts with the Ateris nobility and the Vul-Infusco merchants located within the premises. Beyond that, he can be found traveling throughout Mythomortia as dictated by his latest arrangements, his sword forever at his left hip waiting for action.

oтнєя:He prefers to be known by the nicknames of 'Al' and 'Gale' (the second name part of his alias when he is under contract), as an honor only to those who are his closest confidants. His more exact measurements are 6'5 in height and 235 lbs in weight from his childhood background spent training as a child for combat. He is most comfortable around human women, with a special hatred for the Arcanis and the Ateris due to their typical discrimination against him on sight. Incidentally, his mixed heritage makes him a natural delight to the Black-Scaled Mer to start hunting...Though he hasn't met any as of just yet.

ɢєи∂єя: Female

иαтιvє ℓαи∂: Mythomortia
socιαℓ sтαтυs: Middle class
occυραтιoи: Messenger
вιo: Born from a harpy mother and a human father. Her father was killed after she was born. She was then raised by her mother and some other Nest Mothers. Being that her mother was a warrior, Vi's mother was killed in a battle with fairy forces. By her harpy nature, V'i despises Fairies. She dislikes drakes and dragons as well. She doesn't think much of humans, but doesn't hate them, just views them as lower than herself in status. By the time she turned fourteen, V'i was on her own, pretty much 'kicked out of the Nest' so to speak as that was the usual time for her flock to stop watching over the young ones. V'i was ecstatic when she was finally free of the Nest Mother's watchful eyes. She had longed to have her own freedom and had been constantly getting into trouble or wandering off as a child. When she was about halfway through her fifteenth year, V'i found various jobs working as a messenger, and occasionally a scout.
oтнєя: V'i is happy, carefree, naiive, loves to play pranks, outspoken, playful can be easily distracted (but it doesn't happen often). V'i is known for her persistence, especially when you give her a task to do as she will keep trying until it gets done or you tell her to stop. V'i tends to toy with her 'food/prey' before actually catching it. If you catch her interest, she will follow you around like a love-struck puppy. But once she gets bored with you, two things could happen: she could either kill you as a harpy would do, or she could just leave you to die somewhere. However, in a battle, there is a totally different side to her, like a devil has possessed her. She loves to fly, sing, and feel the wind blowing around her.

{Bump! Also, I hope everyone already knows this, but Elemental Generals will not count for getting the roleplay started. I'm also not accepting any Goddesses what-so-ever, not that anyone has sent any yet. I want this roleplay to center around the evolution of the two countries and the many social challenges that they face - wars being a large part of it but not the center force. 3nodding }
