Things aren't always as simple as they should be.

His job was a piece of cake. Clients would contact him, ask for his services, give him large sums of money, and he'd do as they wished, simple as that. The only thing is, he kills people for living. That's right, he's a hitman, assassin, whatever you would like to refer the job as. All that matters was it was a piece of cake. That is, until a certain job is given to him: to kill a daughter of a certain mob leader. It started off simple enough, she was just another target, and all was going as planned. Then the problem presented itself: he had fallen in love with her.

Rules

1.This role-play does involve some death and such, npcs will be made for this primarily, so it does have a violent/dark theme. Nothing too graphic though, yeah?
2.The starting point of this rp, to clarify, will start before the assassin approaches the target. More around the time he is assigned the job.
3.First one to send in the profile for the assassin gets the spot!
4.Regarding the bio for the profile, you can just keep it short if you like, I really only put it there just in case you wanted to share why the character became an assassin and stuff. As for the picture, real or anime is fine, whichever you prefer. You don't have to go off which I use, chances are I'll switch to the other if you use the other.

Name: Shannon Grace Murray
Age: Nineteen.

Bio: Shannon is like any other average girl born in Boston, Massachusetts really, expect for the fact she happens to be the sole daughter of South Boston underground mob boss: Connor Murray. Not that she knows that clearly per say. As far as she is concerned her father owns a well enough trading business. One that he was so wrapped up in that caused him to neglect his family so much. To break her parents marriage up when she merely seven. To leave her basically taking care of herself at age thirteen once her nanny died of old age. Or of something else, she wasn't quite sure. All she knew was she didn't really have a stable home life. Didn't really have home in the town her father basically runs. She's ready to find one though, but by request of her father (and to the dismay of her mother) she is waiting a year before she goes off to college (to find herself). Besides the fact she won't be going to school, Shannon expects this year will be like any other: spending days with friends and relaxing, working nights at Patty's bar, dealing with the bickering between her divorced parents, and the occasional fling with random guys. Nothing new, in short.

Name: Zachariah Lee Alexander
Age: 22

Bio: He was born into the Russian mafia, a daughter of a hit man. He transitioned when he was eight, and then it was natural that he followed his father into the trade, learning many things that served him well when he eventually parted amicably with his father's employers (by virtue of a large sum of money) and went freelance.

"How is that good for nothing father of yours anyway?" "Mum," The red head sighed, a sort of warning note in her voice as she spoke, rolling her eyes as she hurried around the room. A hour long rant from the woman who gave birth to her was the last thing she needed, as if she wasn't running late already. She loved the woman, but sometimes she needed to just shut her mouth. "I know that you're just checking in on me like a good parent would, but I'm in a hurry. Patty is going to flip a skillet if I'm not there in half a hour. I gotta go, love ya though!" And with that Shannon hung the phone up, tossing it in her bag before she rushed through the procedure of locking her apartment door and getting out of the building, running the length to Patty's bar. Could this night get any worst.

[Okay this was a sucky start, I apologize for this I just wanted to start this badly.]

Zach took another glance around the bar, replying noncommittally in Russian when the bartender asked him something. He sipped his nonalcoholic drink slowly, keeping his hand on his hidden pistol. He knew this was a place that employed a girl he'd heard a lot about when he still lived with his father, and he couldn't be too careful. He was scoping the place, seeing if this would be a good place to meet clients. Eventually he decided it would service, and called the burner phone that he'd been instructed to contact to give the location.

With the rush she was in, Shannon didn't even bother with going in the back, instead choosing to swing the door to the front of the pub open, rushing in and narrowly missing running into the familiar face of one of her father's workers. She glanced back at him in retreating steps, throwing a wave at him before she hurried to the end of the bar, sliding behind it, dumping her bag and shrugging her black leather jacket off, revealing the typical attire for any sensible bar attendant: white short sleeve shirt and black jeans, and her favorite combat boots. "Sorry Patty, mum called right as I was leaving." She said as she passed the main bartender, Patrick, who just nodded in an understanding way. It was no secret her mum was a yapper. Standing still for a moment, she glanced around, looking to see if anyone was signaling for some help with their orders.

Zach saw the girl come in and knew who she was. He signaled and said, "Vodka, pozhaluysta." He barely noticed he was speaking Russian; his eyes were tracking her movements and watching her face, studying her, then flickering to the door, waiting for his next assignment. A woman stepped through, face disguised beneath a scarf, carrying a silver briefcase. An agent of the local branch of his father's employers, he knew; they used to be lovers. "Privyet, Anna," he said with a chuckle.

"Funny," she snapped. "Here." She shoved the briefcase at him and stalked out.

Zach shifted the briefcase on his lap. "Well," he murmured, eyes flickering to the bartender, "I don't think she's quite gotten over what happened in Volgograd."

Shannon eyes easily focused on the new male, taking in his features before she nodded her head at his order. Grabbing a glass she placed it in front of him, grabbing the bottle of vodka and pouring it as someone approached him, someone he knew she guessed with his friendly greeting. And wronged apparently by the icy reply he got. Placing the bottle back to where she got it, she glanced at him as he spoke, raising an eyebrow at him. "It seems so." She replied in a teasing manner, giving a smile before her eyes flickered to the other side of the bar. "O'Malley what in the bloody hell do you think you're doing," she barked out, stalking down the length to a man hanging over the side of the bar, reaching for a bottle of beer. He mumbled something about getting a drink before letting out an ow as he got smacked with a hand towel by the pissed off red head. "Get back to your table you drunk, I'll bring you your drinks." Smacking him again before he ran off to the back corner. "Honestly, Irish men!" she sighed angrily, tossing the rag to the side as she grabbed a few bottle for his tables.

"Saintly, compared to a Russian man with a bottle in him." Zach considered that for a second, glass against his lips, and added in a soft murmur to himself, "And Russian women, for that matter. Especially Anna—vse, chto dvizhetsya, that one." He popped the briefcase just enough to see what was inside it and let out a soft chuckle. "Oh, irony, my old friend, I have missed you so." Then he shut it and closed the latches. Inside was his usual fee and intel on the target—his lovely bartender and the daughter of a mobster. He said to her, "My name is Zach. Yours?"

(("Anything that moves", by the way.))

With all the men at the table holding a new cold bottle, Shannon trotted back to the bar, shaking her head as she heard the table she just left howl with laughter. She slipped back towards where she had stood before, grabbing a bottle of whiskey to refill the lad next to the Russian when she even sparred him another glance. With the new group of people entering, it seemed like a busy night was at hand and she couldn't really dilly-dally, but she couldn't be impolite either. "Shannon." She paused for a moment to return the bottle back to it's place before she spoke again. "It's always nice to see a new face in here, but an Irish pub in South Boston doesn't seem like your type of place." Her manner was merely curious, friendly and all, as she cocked her head to the side awaiting his reaction to her comment.

"It's usually not." He shrugged. "But sometimes you have to do things differently." He could tell that she'd have to get to work soon and so fell silent with a warm smile. He glanced around to see who came in, and immediately ducked his head, letting out a soft string of curse words and said to Shannon as she came near, "Please don't kick me out if a fight starts. Promise it isn't my fault." Ever since arriving in America at sixteen (officially eighteen years old), he'd... well, he'd found his way into a lot of women's beds. And some of those women had husbands who were the type to frequent the sort of bar he was currently in, which he really should have thought of. And then a heavy hand settled on his shoulder and an Irish voice said he had a lot of balls to show his face.

Shannon made a thoughtful face for a moment, giving his words a once over. 'But sometimes you have to do things differently.' She liked that, it sounded like words she could put towards her life after she left Boston for good. The sound of more people entering only made her groan internally, leaning against the bar with a neutral face. She wasn't really feeling the fast moving night tonight, she just wanted to have a chill night. Which did not seem promising when Zach said what he did about fight starting. That was the last thing she wanted, oh lord. In a second she pushed herself back from the bar, glancing between the new guy and one of the most familiar faces of the bar, an associate of sorts of her father, one she didn't really understand at all.

Zach sighed and muttered, "Sorry, I'll try to take this outside," to Shannon, then spun to face the man who had accosted him. "Well, hello."

"You slept with my wife, you little—"

At this point the man began to choke, because Zach had struck him solidly in the windpipe. "There are certain things you never say to a gentleman," he murmured, "and you were about to say one of them." Then he pulled a business card from his pocket, blank save for his name and phone number, and handed it to Shannon. "Well. I think I've caused more than enough trouble for you and I'm very sorry for that. Call me later?" He flashed a charming smile and sauntered out. He'd take a look at the intel later, figure out some way to get her to a neutral location where disposal would be simple. But for the moment, he was tired and wanted to return to his home, and he made sure to circle no less than four blocks on the way to his fancy apartment.

All Shannon really could do was stand there, her mouth opened in a little 'O' shape in surprise. Never in her time of working there had something like this happened: an outsider with a history with a usual actually leaving without an injury after hurting said usual. It was just a shock to her, though the fact this guy had the guts to offer her his card to her after that was even more surprising. She took it nonetheless, pocketing it once he was out and attention of the bystanders were drawn to the man who had been struck. Things were a bit more quiet after that, but the night still was busy and she didn't end up leaving until one in the morning, parting ways with Patty as he locked up. He had it easy, living above the bar, while little old Shannon had to walk herself home to her apartment outside of the close-knit community she had grown up in. It was a nice night though, so she didn't mind all too much.

As she walked she couldn't help but think if she really would call Zach. It seemed to her that he was a heartbreaker or player of some sorts, especially since he nearly got an Irish a**-whooping because he slept with the man's wife. 'Doubt that if he hadn't caught him by surprise he would have been beaten to a bloody pulp.' Just thought made her grimace; violence wasn't her thing. Running a hand through her hair she decided she would sleep on it, whether she would call him or not. Nodding to herself, she pulled out her keys, bounding up the steps to get into her apartment and get to bed.
