I relly wanted an omfg so I went into the marketplace and made a 17.9k bid and won.. but did not recieve the omfg. what would you do if this happened to you ? Is this possible? Will I get the item ?

I'm gonna let this thread slide, because I think it brings up a valid point. It just needs some focus.

Was this a mistake in the system? Or was it a deft maneuver?
How should we deal with mistakes in the system?
How should we deal with those that find loop holes?

I think it's most likely a bug and you should file for help with the Gaia admins. I can't think of any way that the seller could have cheated you, but then again if it were easy every other person would be getting cheated too. If some one does cheat the system I think they need to have their IP banned because that sort of thing would ruin Gaia.

I've seen posts like this a lot in the Q&A forums recently.

The changes to bidding auctions* have caused a lot of lag in the marketplace, and apparently a lot of people end up with no money and no item for a few hours to a day or so after an auction ends. The first thing to do is send a PM to the seller requesting them to approve the auction if they haven't already.

If you're still having trouble after 24 hours, you should talk to a Mod.

* Bidding auctions now require the seller to approve the auction after it ends before it gets sent to the buyer and/or taken down off the list of auctions. This is why, if you search for something using the 'finishing soonest' filter, you get page after page of expired auctions.

I'd let someone know about it on Q&A. If it's a glitch it should be on a record somewhere and they should be able to correct it.

You should see a mod about that. And it is possible. I've noticed a lot of gliches on Gaia lately.
