The purpose of this thread is to collect useful links related to the forum into a single place. They should be very helpful in collecting information about the various topics that might show up in this guild. Feel free to reply with more links. I'll try to move useful links into this first post.

I still haven't decided whether or not unlicensed anime downloading sites should be posted here.


Generic Links

The Internet Movie Database

A gigantic movie database containing information about movies and series. It's a useful place to find the actors who played in your favorite movie, the voice actors who played your favorite anime character, or ever where something was made in the first place (helping to identify whether or not an animated series came from japan or not.)

Wikipedia

It is abstractly an encyclopedia where anybody can contribute information. It's a very good place to start looking for information on pretty much anything. There is a lot of details about books and some anime.

An anime database which contains incredibly useful information about lots of anime such as related series, episode titles, and official website. It also contains links to other anime database entries making it an incredibly useful starting place when looking for information about a series.

Another excellent anime database. Better for finding some character information and finding other anime released by the same companies.

Anime News Network

A good place to find some news on anime. Also sometimes contains interesting trivia.

Anime On DVD
http://www.animeondvd.com/
A fairly comprehensive place to find anime DVD releases and release dates. They also do a very good job at keeping track of which anime have become licensed.


Books

Fantastic Fiction

A good site to look for other books by your favorite author or to see what sorts of releases there have been for your favorite book.

What about the otaku for infromation... i think its a good site to go to. Plus if you become a member you can find other people who are interested in what you like and find updates, wallpapers, and quizzes possibly as well.

It also has a board that you can chat on so if you have any questions about something its pretty much a guarantee that you will get a response.

Veoh.com might be a good source for some anime they never delete any videos unless the user who created it deleted it by himself.
