Is sarcasm a universal thing? I'll have to watch some foreign films to lose my ignorance to this, but where did sarcasm origin? Is is most prominent in America or some other country? Hmmmmm.....

Is sarcasm a universal thing? I'll have to watch some foreign films to lose my ignorance to this, but where did sarcasm origin? Is is most prominent in America or some other country? Hmmmmm.....


I'm not really sure. I know there's alot of sarcasm in the british comedies I watch, and it's obviously used alot in America.

It's not used at all in Asia, or at least Japan. I had to watch how I used it, because every time I did, they thought I was being sinscere. V-V

So I basically listed the languages I know more than 3 words in. 3nodding I have 1, 2, 4, and 5 in school. I learned Hungarian when I go there in the summer holidays and I learn Japanese from the web and will eventually study it in university.

That's not true at all. You probably just suck at it. Because whenever I smack talk my mom in Chinese, she says, "Don't be sarcastic." And my Japanese friends do it all the time.

Really? My family is so messed up. Being sarcastic doesn't do anything because either way, my old man will yap to me about talking back to him.
