Got a USB thumb drive?

Okay, so a local computer store in my area sent out some coupons to some of their customers for a free 1gig USB2 flash drive as a promotion for their store. So I went in and I got my thumb drive and then I remembered one of my friends talking about putting portable applications on his that he could run right off of the thumb drive! I've tried some and so far it works great!

They do try to keep the portable applications very small. 3nodding

Wow Strideo, thanks for the information, i loved that it had Portable Firefox, a web editor and image editor. I have 512mb so i think it shouldn't be a problem biggrin

Z and I both have .5Gig flash drives... so if we tape them together... we get... two drives taped together!

Also it's a double jumpdrive, which is faster than normal jumpdrive. sweatdrop sweatdrop I'm being silly

My mom has a 1 Gigabyte flash drive. I need to get a few so I don't hae all these Songs/Pictures/Videos clogging my computers.

You're welcome! It's great for me because my computer at work doesn't have anything on it but with this I can listen to music on a decent media player and I can use a word processor and more. 3nodding

Reminds me of like those gigapets you can connect together so they can mate and have offspring. Like the Dreamcast VMUs. Too bad hubbie and I can't mate our flash drives to make more.
