The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... "I'm a cat, Ashriel. My hearing is really good." Raevyn told her dryly. One could just hear the smirk in his voice. It was also the first time he'd actually said her name. "Talk in your normal voice and I can still hear you. And moving on from that, what're you making? Smells like chicken. Interesting choices in spices though." He said, sniffing at the air as he spoke. The tiger that should be....isn't....

[A]shriel"Okay then." Ashriel blushed from where she was standing, preparing the rub for the chicken. "Sesame chicken with garlic and onion mashed potatoes." She said simply, mixing the ingredients for the rub. The spices were for the chicken, of course, after the wet rub. This is gonna take a while.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... "Ah. That explains it. I was wondering what you were planning on using the sesame for. It's not a very common spice." Raevyn said easily, giving the impression of nodding. "I'm guessing it's gonna be awhile though. Wake me when it's done." He told Ashriel, curling up tighter and letting his eyes close. He drifted into a light sleep, ears twitching slightly as the girl made supper. The tiger that should be....isn't....

[A]shrielAshriel continued to prepare the food, putting it into the oven once it was ready. Knowing that it would be a while, she set the timer and read for around thirty minutes. The timer went off, and she got up and checked on the chicken. It had about fifteen or so minutes left to go, since it was such a small amount. She moved to begin the potatoes, mixing them as the directions on the box said to. Once they were finished cooking, she mixed in a small amount of garlic and the green onions just as the timer for the chicken went off. She smiled as she began to get it out, squealing loudly as she managed to burn her hand in the process. I might be too clumsy to cook.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn's head jerked upright, woken by the sound of Ashriel's squealing. "What did you do?" He demanded instantly. He sniffed at the air but didn't smell any blood, so he wasn't too concerned. As he proved with his next words. "You didn't wreck supper did you?" The tiger that should be....isn't....

[A]shriel"No, I just burnt my hand." Ashriel said, turning off the oven. She grabbed the pot holder, which she'd forgotten in the first place, and took out the chicken, sighing. "I'd forgotten to use a pot holder." The girl stated once she had turned off the stove. Cold water ran over her burn as she turned on the faucet, examining where she'd burnt it. At least she burnt herself, not the food. Clumsy me.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn sighed and relaxed. He rose from his bed and stretched, wincing slightly. 'Stupid car.....' He thought to himself. "Well, as long as supper's alright. I'm guessing that means it's done then?" He asked as he slowly made his way to the kitchen. He was limping again, favoring his hurt leg, but he was walking at least. "Smells done to me." He announced as he entered the kitchen silently. The tiger that should be....isn't....

[A]shriel"It is, it just needs to cool." Ashriel said calmly, watching him. She smirked lightly. "You sure you didn't injure yourself moving that bed?" She questioned him, raising her eyebrows. Hm...

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... "Oh shut up." Raevyn grumbled at her, scrambling onto the table in an undignified way. "I'm perfectly fine." Once up, he sat, wrapping his tail around his paws. Amber eyes tracked Ashriel's every movement, trained unblinkingly on her. The tiger that should be....isn't....

[A]shrielAshriel rolled her eyes, frowning. "Must you stare at me?" She questioned, moving to get two plates. One was rather large, for her, and one was about medium sized, for him. Right now, she didn't need him wasting this food, so she was only going to give him half the amount she was giving herself to start off. After all, that was about equivalent to how much he'd eaten at lunch. And he could always have seconds. After getting a bit of chicken and potatoes for both of them, she set his plate in front of him and grabbed a fork to eat her food at the table. Hopefully, this will actually taste good.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... "Yes." Raevyn answered her, unashamed. "It's a cat's nature. I'm a hunter. Anything moving could be prey. So I track it." He explained it simply, crouching in front of his plate. He ate the food, ignoring the potatoes for the most part and eating the chicken first. "Not bad." He told Ashriel, complimenting her work. The tiger that should be....isn't....

[A]shriel"Thanks." Ashriel said quietly as she ate. She had a big appetite for someone her size, and it would be no surprise as to why she was so short on money-why she had to stretch her money so far. Feeding her was like feeding a family of four. Hm...

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn quickly finished the food on his plate, though he seemed reluctant about the potatoes. But he'd learned to never waste food. When he was done, he pushed his plate towards Ashriel. "More chicken." He said then paused and added "Please." He was hungry again after his stupid stunt with the bed. The tiger that should be....isn't....

[A]shrielAshriel nodded, getting up to get him another piece of chicken. She brought it back over to him and finished up eating her own food, seemingly distracted. Somewhere, over the rainbow...

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn ate his chicken, letting the silence hang in the air. When he'd finished that, he glanced up at Ashriel, sitting up again. "Something wrong?" He asked, his voice contemplative as he watched her. Her mind seemed to be somewhere else. The tiger that should be....isn't....
