"Originally being where I was born, where I was raised, or where I was before getting here?" she asked, looking back, "Cause I have three different answers."

"Part of rehab I take it? Or at least to stay in control after the fact?" Adrian said still holding her hand, gently stroking it a bit to try and calm her down.

"One is...and one is an anti-psychotic." Amaya murmured. "There are far more...but those are take as necessary." She said, her hand cracking the sink a little more before it relaxed. Amaya took one more deep breath and then turned around, hiding her face in Adrian's shoulder.
Calista came over and hugged her mother at the waist, also hiding her face in Amaya's side. She understood a little more now what was wrong with Amaya and that she would never fully be okay, but she always felt sad when her mother was like this, because she knew it made her sad for a while.

"Well his heart looks...healthy?" Kierra asked looking up at her mentor, Doctor Grey. Dr. Grey nodded,"Except, notice the white spotting here. That's abnormal. You need to take a sample and send it to the lab." Kierra nodded, swabbed the substance, then labled it and sent it to be identified. "Alright, I'll finish up here. You have class in an hour, don't you?" Kierra nodded as she began to clean up. She walked out of the lab, saying goodbye to her mentor and walking down the street to her college campus. Luckily for her, the buildings were close together. Kierra sighed as she put on her sunglasses, partly to keep the sun out of her eyes, but mostly because they made her feel more invisible. She always got stares as she crossed campus. To some, she was a hero or saving multiple people from a fire in the chemistry lab. To some others, she was the freak who had started the fire in the chemistry lab. And to the rest, she was a random stranger that just didn't fit in. Florida had a lot for her to get used to. Even after four years.

"You must of been all over the place," he said. "But let's go with, before you were taken to that infernal place to be treated like a poor pit bull in a dog fighting ring." There was a sound of spite in the last sentence that he spoke.

The tone of his voice caught her off guard; he looked normal to Alexia. 'Looks can be deceiving.' she instantly thought, remembering how she thought Alexander was in his normal form when he wasn't. She mentally shook away the memory and said, "I was on the streets. I had..." She hesitated, not knowing what to say. Would he get freaked out and run if she told him? Not taking the chance, she lied, "Had a big fight with my parents. They kicked me out."

Locke believed her this time. "Whoa, that's tough," he said sincerely, "Did you try to call 'em after you were freed? You know, to make amends."

- OOC: Getting off after this post and a post in a different thread for a fun-filled day of cleaning and NOT practicing. Oh,gosh,I'mgonnasuckatCandlelight... - He believed her? Wow, that was lucky, but she still hadn't completed the web. "Um, no, I'm 21 now. I can take care of myself. I don't need them." she said, all of it a lie. She didn't have money unlike the other mutants because she was the only few unbought, so she lived in a crappy apartment, barely able to pay bills on her salery at the cafè. She couldn't even get it decorated for Christmas let alone get presents for her few close friends. Alexia wished her parents were alive to help her. They'd have helped her, right? They love her, of course! Even if she was a freak of nature. Though she wouldn't know since Avani killed them as soon as she changed, giving them no time to know what happen and react to their daughter's new self. 'A regret even Mrs. Marshall can't get me over...' she thought. Mrs. Marshall is Alexia's therapist that she sees weekly. She was a nice lady, but she couldn't help the winged young adult with everything unfortunately.

((OOC: that sucks, see ya later then))
"If you say so," he said still buying her story. A little while later he spotted the pub still a block away and on the other side of the street, and then threw on an English accent and said, "There's the pub I work at. Good ol' Gilligan's." He pointed at the large sign, lit up by some mounted lamps pointing down at it, and held above the door and windows.

"Better to be on medication than to keep having problems." Adrian said he wrapped his arms and wings around her. "After all, we both know you can't get rid of the monster--not completely--without taking the cure."

Amaya nodded, staying in his arms for a few more minutes before sighing and looking up at him. "It just happens some days. As long as I take my meds I'm fine." She told him with a small smile.
Calista let go and looked up at Amaya, smiling a little now. "Are you better now mommy?" She asked.
"Yeah, I'm okay now. Thank you sweet heart." Amaya said with a smile as she broke the hug and leaned down, kissing Calista's forehead.

"Is it coming out less? I mean, do they think you'll be over it and in full control someday, or is it just something you'll be stuck with?" Adrian asked.

"They dug up my medical files. Apparently I've been schizophrenic since I was four...so no, it's not going away. I got worse when my powers came around but they said it's common for mental illness to get worse when you hit puberty." She told Adrian softly. "My darker half is apparently just part of hallucination and part delusion when it gets bad." Amaya said, now walking back to the kitchen table to take a seat.

"Well, I may not be able to do anything that could fix your head, but I love you just the same." Adrian said walking around behind her, wrapping his arms around her neck and giving her a kiss on the cheek.

"Thanks." Amaya murmured, putting a hand on his arm and rubbing it lightly with her thumb.
"Mommy, can I go watch tv?" Calista asked, already headed for the living room.
"Yes but only for an hour. You need to pack afterwards. You're going to your grandparents to spend Christmas tonight." Amaya told her.
"Am I coming home tomorrow?" She asked, cocking her head.
Amaya nodded. "I'll come and get you tomorrow afternoon, but your grandparents want to spend some time with you." She told her before the girl nodded and walked off to the living room.
