"Minnie!" Zil called out, seeing the skeletal hand she was holding onto. It struck him for a minute. Could this be? Her unburied remains? He looked t her, saying "I'm back", hoping she wouldn't take offense that he brought Adriane with her. He looked at Adriane now, hoping she doesn't get scared of Luminette's spectral form. In any case, he held her hand tight so that she would not be able to run away before he could explain that Luminette meant no harm.

Almost faster than anyone could blink, Luminette ripped her hand away from the skeletal hand and stood up - turning to face Zil and company. As if she were alive, as if she were still affected by the laws of gravity and the like, her hair seemed to flow in the prompt breeze along with the elegant skirt she seemed to wear. "Oh! It's very nice to see you again, Zil. I'm glad to see that you've survived the storm." Following her bell like laughter, she asked in a more somber tone, "What are you doing back here so soon? You aren't lost, I hope..."

Adriane was taken aback at the form-especially when it began to speak. She held on tightly to Zil's hand and moved slightly behind him. Her green eyes were wide and her hand was slightly trembling. She shook her head at the spirit, but she wasn't going to speak to it...

"I found her" Zil said, referencing the slightly trembling girl hiding behind him. He then said slowly with the utmost conviction, "Thank you for keeping me company during the storm. I would have died of loneliness without your warmth. I would like to repay you in any way possible. Help you move on"

A broad grin spread across Luminette's lips. It wasn't often that someone tried to be considerate of her. "It was my pleasure, though all I really did was give you a match and talk your ear off." This comment of her's was followed by a joyous chuckle. The wprds she spoke afterwards did not have that same cheer, but were spoken casually enough, implying that she had come to accept her situation to an extent. "That is very sweet of you to say, but I don't think that's possible at this point. I died hundreds and hundreds of years ago, with more desires and regrets that can ever be satisfied now that I'm dead. The way on is also barred to those who are not given a proper service for too long. Still, I'm just happy you came back to offer. Nobody's ever really done that before."

Once he heard the friends were safe with each other and had left, Lucien decided he had best return home as well. There was no one waiting for him there, but despite the harsh flow of time, he continued to hold out hope that his curse might one day be broken. For now, all he could was watch the forest for travelers and wait.

Once Adriane got the feeling that the ghost was nice, she stood out from behind Zil. "Thank you...for keeping him safe," she said, nodding her head towards Zil. "It would have sucked telling his parents that he'd gone and done something foolish and it actually got him killed for once..." She laughed nervously. "But seriously, thank you. I don't know what I would have done if I hadn't found him alive...and safe..." She squeezed his hand. "You saved my best friend."

"I didn't do anything of the sort. He survived all on his own. I just lit up the place and made a little conversation." Luminette modestly replied, her cheeks lighting up to a flourescent pink upon hearing Ariadne's compliments. "Thank you, though. Just make sure to keep him safe. This time, I don't want either of you coming out here during even moderately unpleasant weather. Blizzards are a dime a dozen around here, even more so the deaths they cause."

Zil then chuckled and replied, "Well, that does a lot for someone who's cold and lonely" He then looked at her firmly and said, "C'mon. You...uhh... passed out here. Isn't there something we could do? Maybe... Give you a proper burial or something?" He was the type of person who held a grudge against people who did him harm and held eternal gratitude to those who ever helped him.

((OOC: Psst! Zelly-san! You should have Lucien get curious why the friends aren't heading straight back to the village or sumfin! ))

Adriane looked at Zil. "Hey Zil, I think she's made up her mind," she said. She smiled at Minnie. "And there's no point arguing with a woman, you know that..." She poked him a little bit in the ribs.

{Sorry for taking so long to reply.}

"Believe me, I've tried to get people to help with it back when I actually cared to." Luminette remained firm in her decision when speaking to Zil, not wishing for her body to be moved at this point. It would have done no good, in her oppinion. "Besides, it's kind of grown on me like this. Although a bit depressing, it's the only reminder I've got left that I was once alive." In a sense, her body was both her shackle and her key. It gave her the comfort she needed when none would approach, yet it also bound her to a place of cold and loneliness since the time of her death. When Adriane spoke up, she found herself grinning rather broadly once more. "You should've seen me when I was alive. I was even worse then."

Zil looked down a bit, disappointed that he couldn't do something for her. Giving up so soon seemed so ungentlemanly. However, talking about going back to the village was something he didn't want to do at any cost. And leaving her unable to move on seemed a little cruel to him. The self-disappointment was written all over his face as he didn't move, waiting for Adriane to tug on his sleeve or something.

Adriane saw the look on his face. She grabbed his hand and said, "Zil...Come on...The candle's about to go out..." She showed him the lamp. She turned to Minnie again. "Thanks again, Minnie," she said. She then tugged Zil in the direction of Lucien's castle, so that he could rest for the night. She looked towards the village, debating whether to go back or run away with Zil to a far off place where no one could ever find them...Away from the screaming and the fighting and the running all the time..like they sometimes talked about.

"You're both very welcome. Should I ever see either of you again, I do hope it has nothing to do with any awful blizzards." Luminette let out a hearty chuckle as she followed up her comment with a rather morbid joke, "I pressed my luck with the weather and look where it got me!" Her death, oddly enough, was one of the few things that she had come to terms with. Her manner of death still haunted her, despite her humor, but this she would never tell. It was the loneliness, regret of past mistakes, and the inability to experience the fruits of life that disturbed her most. Nevertheless, she let herself fade from sight lest she tempt fate once again with her big mouth.
