Veronica woke back up. "Thats a little weird" she muttered. She felt her exhausted had decreased a little bit even though she wasn't asleep for way too long. But perhaps even 10, or 20 minutes for a nap was good enough. When she looked out to the water she noticed things floating around. Wondering was was out there she hung her pack from a branch of a tree, then made her way to the water. She noticed some things had already washed up. She started collecting the assortment of cans.
Seeing the various cans she couldn't help but to smile. Looks like they'd have a decent stock pile aside from the rations she had in her pack. She noticed Sara seemed to be doing the same thing she was.
When her arms were full she brought the cans to the shade before going back to see if she could collect more stuff. She wondered if there were water bottles among the stuff. That would be nice.

Jason felt his shoulders spasm as gave another pull on the life boat that he and Albert had begun to bring up the beach minutes ago. They'd filled it with what they could from the ocean, some pots and a pan, a knife, a couple cans of food, and several sheets and blankets and comforters. The younger man had merely been listening to Albert speak, figuring he'd know a lot more. He was right.
"And just one more push, just to the edge of the dense sand. Yes, that's right, we can stop it here." Albert watched Jason drop the rope of the lifeboat and let himself drop his bottom edge. The boat sank a bit in the sand, but he knew it could be invaluable to the cast-aways, and he knew it was his job to do the best he could for them.
I'm old and alone, Camila. These kids here got a chance if I help them out... The older gentlemen straightened his straw hat, mercifully shielding his face from the glare of the sun, and turn right around back to the ocean. "Come on, Sport. We'd better help these ladies get all this flotsam up the beach and into the shade." He started a brisk walk, the burn in his legs reminding him of pack runs through the beaches in Florida. "Then we can work on a fire and camp."
Jason shook his head and followed Albert, amazed at the man. He had to be eighty, right? Old and yet he could lift the boat with the Quarterback and nearly run down the beach to help out the girls. Jason let his eyes search the beach, looking for the other lifeboat survivors. He'd seen the little girl reunited earlier, with no such luck for the boy. He made sure he saw each one of them and then reached the water, picking up anything that drifted his way, dropping it back in thesand behind him if Albert said it wasn't really worth it.

Amber almost frowned, not really used to helping others or trying to take care of others as she put down the fruits and opened the can for the little boy, crossing her arms, watching him walk around her to wrap his arm around her long and slender legs so that she couldn't go anywhere without her dragging him as he quietly drank his apple juice. Amber looked around a little, almost feeling bad she wasn't helping anyone in the water, but...did they really need her help? Or would she just get in the way? She pulled off his tiny arms and dropped down on her bottom and picked up some fruits, deciding she would do something and feed the child, peeling off the skin of the lychee and pulling the seed out before giving it to him. "Ask your sister to help herself," Amber spoke quietly, but hopefully Krystal heard, "It might taste a little strange or unusual at first, but it would only be because it's something new to you." The little boy chewed quietly on the chewy fruit and opened his mouth as Amber gave him another one, peeled and seedless.

Sara decided this would be her last hall, walking back to the edge of the water where she had placed everything. She got on her knees, running a hand through her hair as she searched for what would be good to keep. Gosh, it was a tangled mess, being in the water the whole time had made it even curlier than usual. She looked at where Amber was with a little boy. She defiantly preferred this to sitting around and talking, she always put her foot in her mouth. A lot of the things were broken and quite a few of the cans had been smashed against rocks or something and so were basically empty or mixed with sea water. Not good. She separated it into two piles, usable and non usable. She sat back on her heels, looking. They seemed to be lucky, so very lucky to be receiving this much.

Within minutes Veronica also returned is wet clothes that happened to have drifted to the island somehow. There wasn't anything special in the pile. Mainly t-shirt, and jeans. There were a couple sheets in the pile. "I thought this was a pretty lucky find." she said setting the pile down. "Probably not as important as food though" she commented.

Veronica sat down. "I've got twenty of them actually. So we are good there for now. But it might be best to figure out how to make fire without then since they will eventually ruin out of fluid." she said after she was asked about lighters. "All I can say about fires is that its good to make sure everything used has no moisture in it. Like sticks that have broken off the trees. I think drying leafs might be helpful as well." she said. Most of things she said might be obvious, but she felt it might be best to go over them anyway.

"Thats good" Veronica commented, then she realized that having twenty lighters seem a little much. "The only reason I have so many is because I liked collecting things, and at some point it happened to be lighters. In the end I just tossed them on my bag" she said with a nervous laugh.

Veronica picked up a can with some sort of pasta in it. Maybe Ravioli and opened up the can. She slowly ate the food. Since she didn't have a fork it ended up being a somewhat messy process. There was sauce all over her chest, and her hand.

((Seems our rp has come to a stand still, partly my fault because I've been so busy I haven't been able to get on but let's try to start it up again!))
Sara pulled the usable stuff a bit higher up before sitting on the sand, looking out into the sea. She remembered what she had said earlier, about the first two days being the most important. That meant that they needed to be found today or tomorrow. After the first two days they would stop searching. Sara pulled her knees to her chest, pressing her cheek to one of them. They were so lucky right now but if they stayed here much longer they would be dead.

"This is everyone, then?" Now that everyone had circled around each other, asking questions and some satiating hunger brought on by salt and exertion, it seemed that it could be time to organize. Albert felt his memories flash to the normal to do list for camping with the boys, and he wondered if something like that even compared to something like this. "We'd best figured out how to go about setting up an S.O.S"
They'd collected blankets, and there were plenty of trees around. They could make white flags... not the brightest color, unfortunately.
Jason looked on carefully, watching the rest of the group.
