Veo could only flash a smile at his apology being accepted but before she could take a seat, he nudged her and gestured towards a different direction. He led her to the seat of the guest of honor, seating her properly before walking back to his spot across the table. His brothers soon came and took their places beside him. He lowered his eyes at the sight of them as neither could ever be Veo Volente. Just a Volente. Now there was only one seat that needed to be filled. The head of the table, beside whom both Akalia and Veo were seated. He looked to Akalia and cleared his throat. All of a sudden, he was tense and it felt like there was only he and Akalia there in that room despite the fact that the other demon nobles were either bickering about who was fanicer or greedier or downright arguing and messing up the seating arrangement.
"Demons...", called a voice both low and booming. It echoed throughout the hall and all fell silent. All fell into place without further need for fixing.
Veo looked pale for a moment as he looked to Akalia although there was a mixture of determination and disdain in his eyes. When the footsteps were heard, Veo cast his eyes down and looked to be pondering something and not to be bothered.
A towering demon emerged from the darkness to take his seat at the head of the table. His large demon wings withdrew into his upper back as he stepped closer with the only demonic traits remaining being the large, imposing horns, fangs and the tattoos on the exposed portions of his skin. He appeared a proud and towering demon with dark hair and a few charming gray streaks. The elegance and sheer simplicity of his apparel could shame the most avid of clothing enthusiasts at this flawless display. He looked to be every bit as charming as Veo and more. Almost the exact same features as the boy but refined with that certain appeal that only comes with aging. As he entered, a venomous and yet alluring smile played upon his lips. He then looked to his right and cast a displeased glance at the boy as he took his seat with Veo not even returning his glance. He put away displeasure for the boy and turned to the angel. The smile returned upon his lips as he waited for any kind of response to come from her first. The 'interrogation' would have to begin soon.

Akalia looked up as a Demon called for attention. She paled slightly at the sheer size of the demon. She looked down so as not to be... Impolite, but knowing Demons she probably was being so. When he sat she glanced up and tried to smile since he was staring at her and with such a... 'wonderful' smile... Were all the men here pigs? She decided she might as well start the conversation she knew was about to happen. But she was getting annoyed at his staring... At all of the demons that were staring. "Might I help you?"
((I was tempted to have her say more like "Or would you like a picture?" haha But I didn't))

James couldn't help but notice the disbelief in the demoness's voice as she spoke to him. He was in the middle of trying to find a way to excuse himself without getting into trouble when she asked him what errands he was sent to do. $@%& of course she would ask what errands I was on! Quick Jame's you're smart-ish, think of something! What do demons send servants on for errands?!He thought to himself as he felt himself start to panick a bit. "Oh, you know. Deliver a letter to a close friend, pick up some drycleaning, go shopping for groceries. Just the usual errandy stuff." He said as nonchalantly as he could manage.

Why would his master need someone to pick up the drycleaning? If he were rich enough to afford a human manservant, then he should surely be rich enough to have maids who can do the laundry somewhere on his own lands. Something was definately off about all this. "Errandy stuff?" Lucrecia raised an eyebrow at the male, not looking any more convinced than she did before. "Who is your master?"

Veo was the only one whose eyes were downcast with his hand acting as a visor to shield his expression and at the same time as though he were busy thinking. It was clear that the relationship between father and son was quite turbulent this past week.
The demon king replied to her, "Why yes. For starters, what's your name and how did you meet this, this..." He was about to call him by some politcally incorrect term but changed it. "...son of mine." Unlike Veo, he was better at not letting his anger show through. After a pause, he looked up at the servants and said, "Well, don't just stand there." and immediately, they began serving the appetizers.

Akalia debated on giving him a fake name. So that she wouldn't have to be reminded that she was the stupid princess who abandoned her family in the time of war when it was her fault in the first place. But the demon was certainly kind of scary. So truth opted out before she could stop it. "My name is Akalia. Akalia Maser Joan D'attre Leonin III. Princess of the Angels. And Veo kidnapped me." She said crossing her arms slightly in shame at her own name but as a way to show that she had been leaving anyway.

James felt his heart sink at seeing the disbelief that still plagued the demoness. And it sank further still when he was asked about his master. Okay, I knew I should've come up with a different cover story. She's asking too many questions. He thought to himself as the demoness waited for an answer. "My master is umm...Daniel Venhallen." He said after a slight pause, saying the first name that came to his head.

A vile glare was shot at Veo as the crowds of nobles began to murmur at what they had heard. Kidnapped... The princess, to boot. It would have been fine on any other instances but come on. Right when the king had a command issued that no one interfere with the angel-human war so they could take over later on. That was direct disobedience from his eldest son.
Veo raised his eyes, looking to Akalia with pursed lips. If only Lucretia were here right now. He could certainly use her help. Never had he felt more humiliated in his entire life than during the going-ons of this week. He raised a finger and said, "Uh, correction. Rescued. She was being bothered by some guards so I opted to save her and well, we were being chased so we used a transport stone to escape. And the only one I had opens a portal back here. And c'mon! How was I supposed to know that a random girl I found in the human kingdom was the princess of the angels?". Most of that was the truth but he left out the part about rescuing her only because he had urges. The prince knew better than to slander his own name in front of gossiping, scandal-hungry, treacherous demons of the court.
The king's face was gaunt as he looked at Veo, analyzing his defense. He tapped his fingers on the table several times and that was the only noise in the hall. He then answered, "And why were you out in the human kingdom? Did I not order that all demons stay within the demon kingdom and refrain from interfering with the human-angel war?"
Veo's eyes widened. How was he supposed to explain himself? His purpose in going out was to kidnap Akalia. He snickered, "I wanted to see what was going on. That's all. Staying here bores me to no end".
"And so you chose to disregard my direct order?", the king continued in a calm manner. He then looked to Akalia and back at Veo before nodding. "Very well. If you decide to marry her after all, you shall be stripped you of your status, banished from the castle and cut off from royal funding."
"What?!", Veo stood up. "Y-Y-You can't do this, old man!", he said, pointing a finger at his father.
"I just did. Now, own up to your words or send her back. You have until tomorrow to decide", he said. "You are lucky you are my son. Had it been anyone else, he might have been sent to the gallows right away for defying my command". Serves him right for endangering the entire demon kingdom because of his deeds. What if the humans and angels team up to destroy the demon kingdom and rescue Akalia? What then?
((OOC: I had been debating this course of action and it has been hours. Finding no other 'interesting' solution... Sorry, Veo. =w= ))

((I had totally forgotten that he had saved her life... >.< Poor Veo))
Akalia looked aghast towards Veo. He had wanted her marriage but he was also supposed to be the next king. She growled slightly. Not meaning too. She stood herself. "If you didn't want your people messing in this stupid war, then why don't you take your 'might self' to the front lines to see where the demons are helping! And for your information, I'm no longer the stupid princess as I gave up that honor of being heir and other s**t because I hated the fighting that was started because of me! So your 'wonderfulness' your son rescued a peasant angel who was going to the humans to find a soldier that had fought with her and smitten her. Now pardon me, 'your excellency.'" She growled loudly, her face was red and she was absolutely pissed.
Leaving the room she got annoyed by the hanging skirt and tore the back of it off throwing it to the floor as well. She headed to the 'room' that she belonged to and grabbed her regular attire and donned it as quickly as she could before heading out towards anything or anywhere that she could get to open air and try to leave.

"Fine ladies and gentlemen of the court", Veo said, collecting his composure. "Excuse me a moment", he finished, leaving the table and brisk walking before breaking into a sprint after Akalia. He must admit being conflicted with that sudden twist, but Akalia's words reassured him but it struck his heart that she was smitten for someone else. "Akalia, Akalia!", he called out, looking for her. No one answered when he knocked at her room so he rushed out, towards the nearest open space -- the garden. He had to talk to her at the very least. He had to convince her that he still wanted her. "Akalia?", he called out softly, looking around, recovering from the sprint. Had he lost her already? Had she meant to go?

((You are perfectly fine!))
Akalia turned as she entered the garden. Hearing Veo's voice behind her. She was trying to calm down even for a moment as she paced slightly and opened and closed her wings. "Yes?" she said trying to sound as though she was calm.
