"He wants me to steady... like the river. But it's not steady at all! What I love most about rivers is that you can never step in the same river twice? The waters always changing, always flowing. But people, I guess, can't live like that."

I'll be heading off pretty soon. So... I'll go ahead and say "Adieu" and log off Gaia. Talk to you later.

My friend's Marriage/Going Away party yesterday was lots of fun. Not as many people attended as expected, but still had a pretty good turn out. It was nice getting to hang out with some of my old friends from college. 3nodding
Had some good food. Turkey, a noodle salad, deviled eggs, wraps around a slice of pickle, bread with two flavored hummus (roasted garlic & red pepper), and two desserts (one having marshmallows, coconut, tangerines, and cherries; the other being banana pudding with vanilla wafers). 3nodding And I drank pink lemonade.

My friend even told me that if I ever headed over to the Chicago, Illinois/Indiana area, that I could stay with her if I wanted to. biggrin That was nice of her.
Not that I have any plans of going to that area any time soon. Probably the only time I would be heading out that direction is to visit my Dad's family... or doing another cross-country field trip with my parents (both of which I haven't done since I was 5-6 years old).

Yesterday was such a beautiful day. Lots of blue sky. Warm sunshine. Definitely was admired by everyone, since we've been having rain for the past few weeks.
The nice weather didn't stay around though. It's already raining again today. *sighs* sad

We watched Night at the Museum 2 last night. I liked it. Considering it's a sequel it was pretty good. Probably as good as the first one.
After watching it, I asked my Mom a scenario question involving Night at the Museum: if you could meet any historical figure (via being an exhibit at a museum), who would you like to me?
My Mom wasn't sure. She said it probably would be cool to meet Noah. And then we were mentioning Adam and Eve. I had to mention that a show that Dad and I watched awhile back was talking about apples. They mentioned that a lot of people contribute the apple being the fruit that Adam and Eve ate. Technically apples wouldn't be able to grow in that area; that the fruit was probably something else ((Dad said that he thinks it was pomegranate [it's been awhile since we've seen it], but he's doesn't remember for sure.)) Mom was joking that it was probably a prune, and resulted in giving them bad diarrhea. Then I was joking that they used the leaves and what not to cover up the "streaks". Mom said it was to block the smell. xd

Anyway, for me... if I was in the scenario where I could meet any historical figure (via being an exhibit at a museum)... I would like to meet:
King Henry and his six wives Jane Austen Anne Bonny and Mary Read
Um... and probably Princess Diana and Mother Theresa. There might be a few others, but those are the ones that come to mind at this time.

After lunch, I'm planning on finishing Emma (novel) and then, if I have enough time afterwards, I'm going to finish watching BBC Emma. 3nodding
Then I can actually get down to work on organizing everything and preparing it for my presentation on Thursday.
I even found a clip from BBC Emma - when the group goes to Box Hill - that I'm thinking of showing during my presentation. Especially since it has all of the characters I'm going to cover, and shows their various personalities... and sort of shows hints to their rank/social status (which is what I'm covering for my presentation). biggrin Plus it'll be a sneak peek for anyone who is interested in actually seeing BBC Emma themselves.
