The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... "Alright then." Raevyn shrugged, chalking it up to 'crazy things Ashriel did'. He left the room, calling back over his shoulder. "Give me a shout when you're done." The tiger that should be....isn't....

Ashriel took only a couple of minutes to change before she called to Raevyn. "Okay, ready!" Her eyes watched the door, waiting for him to get back in the room. Now how was she going to get through school today? If he carried her to their classes, people would talk even more than before.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn was slow to enter the room again. When he did, he had a glazed look in his eyes, as if he wasn't all there. Moving absentmindedly, he gathered up Ashriel and carried her to the kitchen. He set her on a chair, pushing the chair to the sink. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Ashriel looked at Raevyn curiously when he walked back in. His gaze...felt different. "What's wrong?" She asked him softly, not moving on once he put her in front of the sink; she would still need him to get her shampoo, anyway.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... "Hmm?" Raevyn asked, shaking his head to clear it. "Oh, nothing. Just talking with Mama." He told her simply. He glanced at Ashriel, then blinked. "I suppose you need shampoo and stuff actually, now that I'm thinking about it." He trotted out of the room, to the bathroom. He grabbed the shampoo and hurried back to Ashriel, handing it to her. "Here you go." The tiger that should be....isn't....

Ashriel furrowed her eyebrows as Raevyn left the room. Talking to Mama? How? When he came back in, she took the shampoo and began to wet her hair, speaking inquisitively to him. "How were you talking to her?" Her hands steadily moved through her hair, making it so that the water fell everywhere on her head.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn shrugged easily. "Same way I talk to you when I'm a cat - Telepathy. I can do it as a human but it's harder and takes more focus. The fact that she's farther away doesn't help either. But she's a were and were minds are more receptive to telepathy, so that makes it easier a bit." He explained, seemingly unconcerned. It was something perfectly normal to him. The tiger that should be....isn't....

"Oh." Ashriel moved on to shampooing, thinking for a moment. "What were you speaking to her about?" She asked him as she scrubbed the shampoo into her scalp.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... "I was asking if she had any ideas about school today, with your leg hurt like that." Raevyn told her with a nod. "She says she's got a pair of crutches left over from when Colt broke his leg and the doctors forced it on him. He kinda shattered the bone so it took a few days to heal. We'll pick them up on our way to school." He said, then remembered something. "Oh, and Lucian wants you to talk to Jennalin. Apparently she's really upset. I was going to tell you yesterday but you were sleeping and when you woke up, I forgot." The tiger that should be....isn't....

Ashriel rinsed her hair. At least there was a way around school now that didn't involve Raevyn carrying her. Thank goodness her school allowed handbags. When she heard him speak about Jennalin, Ash's temperament changed to a more hardened one. "Good. She should be upset." It was obvious that Ash still had no intentions of speaking to her friend.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... "You know Ash, you don't have many friends." Raevyn began gently. "Maybe you should be kinder to the ones you do have. Jennalin wasn't trying to hurt you." As a loner, he knew what it was like to have no friends. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Ashriel looked at Raevyn as she sat up and began to squeeze out her hair into the sink. "She could have stopped Lix, somehow." In her eyes, it seemed that the entire event that she was going through was Jennalin's fault.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn sighed, disappearing to fetch a brush. He spoke softly when he returned, gesturing for Ashriel to turn so he could brush her hair. "Weren't you listening Ash? She tried. But they have separate classes, remember? There's only so much one person can do. Especially against a hellion like Lixini." The tiger that should be....isn't....

Ashriel turned around when Raevyn gestured for her to, sitting down calmly in the chair. She listened to him, shutting her eyes. "I suppose you're right. Fine, I'll speak to her - but I still haven't forgiven her." Her voice rang out slightly louder now as she felt Raevyn brushing her hair. That really was the best feeling in the world, having her hair brushed.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn brushed calmly. When her hair was completely free of tangles, he pulled it back and began braiding it. "Ashriel, she did what she could. Why won't you forgive her?" He asked quietly. "You say you're afraid of your friends leaving you. But yet here you are, pushing Jennalin away. I thought you wanted friends?" The tiger that should be....isn't....
