"I just want to go out! This apartment is creeping me out." She whined. "Well that could be another two hours...." She sighed, flopping down on the couch next to Riley.

"The apartment's creeping you out?" Adrian lowered his book as he raised an eyebrow at her.
"She did say she was hearing stuff earlier..." Riley said, only half listening to the conversation.
"Hearing things like...?" Adrian promptly set his book down and walked over to where Cali had plopped down.

"I heard some voice say 'soon' earlier and this little jerk claims he didn't hear anything." Cali said, looking at Riley now with a soft glare.

"Hey, if I wanted to freak you out, I'd whisper stuff myself and own up to it. I don't know anything about any mystery voices." Riley said holding his hands up in defense.
"'Soon', huh?..." Adrian said leaning over and feeling Cali's forehead. "Are you feeling okay?" he asked, genuinely concerned while comparing his own temperature and praying it wasn't the schizophrenia starting to rear its ugly head.

"I feel fine." Calista muttered, swatting Adrian's hand away from her. "I swear I'm not crazy. I heard a voice though and it creeped me out." She told him, sitting up as she tried to defend that she wasn't really just going crazy, which was difficult given that her mother was technically crazy.

((Okay, sorry about not posting sooner, I had to jump through the hoops of joining this guild first.))
"Come on Jezzy, enough all ready. We're late, and Kantern will not be happy if I've got a job pending." Opening the front door of his apartment, it was a regular weekend morning. He got up, ate breakfast, and was now heading to work. "Because I need money to keep this place, so come on!" Letting Zorlund out, Jezzlyn followed soon after and off they went. Walking down the stairs from his second story apartment after his dogs, the sunlight exploded upon Roran's skin as they burst into the daylight.
Heading down the sidewalk, the mile long walk to work everyday was a pretty lax one. With his dogs near by, it was nice to enjoy the sun. "So what do you guys plan to do today?" He asked his dogs as his eyes were focused on the blue sky. "Laying down all day again? You could at least play with Beans today." Looking at Zorlund with a slightly harsh gaze, the dog barked at him. "Hey now, his owner had to go over seas for a business trip. So what if he's a little overweight, he still likes to excercise, and it would be nice for you to get a friend other than myself and her." The dog growled a little in defense, making Roran laugh. "Kantern does not count; he can't understand you!"
The ability to understand all creatures came to Roran when he was eleven. He had always felt that animals understood him more, especially strays, and once he had obtained the ability to communicate with them successfully, he began spending time at the local shelter, eventually befriending the staff and being allowed to volunteer without the usual paperwork. It was nice, and it led Roran to where he was today. He'd always be grateful for that. As for his now canine companions, their ability to converse with Roran made them far better friends than any dog could be to a regular human. They followed him all the time; no need for a leash. They obeyed his every command too. Overall, they were the perfect dogs, but more so the perfect friends.
"Anyways, after work we should head to the park. I want to see if Fido is there again with Tiffany. He had been complaining that she was feeding him less, so I was wanting to see if I could make him understand." Pausing in his speech, Jezzy took the chance to interject. "Yes, yes, of course we can go there too, you greedy little thing."
Looking down at his paperwork, Kantern wasn't the least bit surprised that Roran hadn't shown up yet. It's the weekend, cut the man some slack. He does good work, after all. Kantern had now been working as Roran's agent for a couple of years, if not then a bit longer, he could never really keep track of time well. Adjusting his glasses, he signed a few forms when his cell phone began buzzing. Picking the phone up from his desk, he looked at the caller I.D. Smirking, he touched the screen to answer. "So where are you?"
"I'm on my way, just a few minutes now. I was calling to see if we had a client yet though for the day."
"You know you could leave the dogs home for a day," Kantern commented in a friendly tone. When Roran was late, it was usually because one of his dogs was taking a while, because apparently they had to get ready too.
"I couldn't leave them home! They're our mascots! How could you even suggest such a thing?"
Chuckling, he apologized, "Sorry, sorry. It was just something to think about. No, we've yet to get any calls. Could you get me a coffee though? I'm in the mood for more gourmet stuff than what's here."
"Yeah, yeah, no problem. I'll swing by CoffeeBucks on my way in." Roran didn't mind at all. It wasn't like either of them were suffering financially, and as friends he didn't really care about getting Kantern the coffee. If you couldn't offer favors, what good are you as a friend? Even the smallest favor, such as listening to someone's issues, can make a friendship worthwile. What was a little coffee?
"Thanks Roran." Hanging up, he went back to his work. Even when they had no clients, there was still bills to pay, papers and forms to sign, and the never ending quest to get their name known. Triple A. Pretty catchy if you ask me. We should get it trademarked.

Cali shot a look at Riley, annoyed that he told Adrian. Now no one was really going to listen to what she was trying to tell them. Growling in frustration, she grabbed a pillow and tossed it at Riley's head as she got up. "I'm not gonna sit in here all day waiting for mom to wake up." She muttered as she grabbed her purse and headed for the door. She wasn't really sure where she was going yet, all she knew was she wanted to get out of the apartment and away from her family that now thought she was going crazy.

"So much for family plans..." Adrian sighed before looking back at the door to his room. If Amaya woke up soon, there might have been time to salvage something. He didn't want to try stopping Cali again in case he accidentally set off the previous night's events again.

It took another hour before Amaya actually stumbled out of the room, brushing her hair at out with her fingers.
Cali had gone out to a local bookstore, looking for new books and inspiration for her sets and props.

"Good morning again." Adrian said going over to give Amaya a peck on the cheek. "Cali wanted to get out of the apartment for a bit and took off while you were asleep."

"Well at least she's out instead of sitting in front of the tv like someone else in this house." Amaya yawned, seeing Riley right on the couch where she'd left him.

"I'm bored. I don't know what I feel like doing, so this seemed like a decent time killer." Riley said, now stretched out on the couch.
"Cali was also hearing things earlier." Adrian told her with a sigh. "It was just one word the one time though, so I think it was just a fluke."
