Did your bro have the kind that clip over their ear, or the ones that you simply pop into your ear canal?

Owver the ears. It was junior high. Kids are cruel. They used to sit behind him and flick the device and stuff, so one day when he got home, he didn't have the devices anymore. He told my parents he lost them. We didnt have the money to get him a new pair at the time, and now he refuses to even think about getting a new pair...

Ah, I see. I can somewhat relate because I wear glasses and in middle school a lot of kids tried to break them (they were eventually successful, but I had a back up pair thankfully).

And he wont even consider the ones that just simply go into the ear canal? those ones are less visible and harder to mess with
