 do you ever just get so weirdly protective of a character than any slight on them feels like a slight on you and take it so personally that you get genuinely angry because of itYeah... I did that after I read Stargirl in my Young Adult Literature class. I connected so much with Stargirl (Susan) that when my classmates talked negatively of her, I took offense, feeling that they were insulting who I was at the same time.
