 The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... ((No worries. ^_^ ))
Raevyn chuckled lightly. "You're easy to please. Don't move. I'll be back." He told her, rising to his feet. He padded to the kitchen, clanging around as he made supper. It wasn't too long before he was back again, carrying two bowls of soup. "Since you weren't fussy, I decided on chicken soup." With the number of meals he'd used it in, it was easy to see he liked chicken. He handed one bowl to Ashriel and perched on the edge of the bed, eating his own.  The tiger that should be....isn't....

Ashriel smiled when he brought back the food. Wow, he must really like chicken. How much had he bought that time? His shopping must have cost a ton of money. Well...at least he was eating it too. She would've never afforded to have chicken this often. "Like chicken much?" She commented before beginning to eat cheerfully.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn grinned sheepishly. "What? I like chicken. And turkey. And duck. And pheasant. Or any bird really. But I don't get them much. So I settle for chicken." He explained defensively. "I'm a cat. So sue me if I like birds." The tiger that should be....isn't....

Ashriel rolled her eyes, giggling slightly between bites. "I never said anything was wrong with it - I just haven't been able to have chicken this often lately. So I'm actually glad for it." She smiled at him, continuing to eat. She was finished within a few minutes; she had been really hungry.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... "Oh." Raevyn blushed at his defensiveness. He ate, staring into his bowl without looking up at Ashriel. When he'd finished, he gathered both bowls and took them to the kitchen, washing them quickly. He returned to sit on the edge of the bed again. The tiger that should be....isn't....

By the time Raevyn was back in Ashriel's bedroom, she was testing her leg again. Her hands were gripping the bed, and she was lowering herself onto the floor. She didn't care what the doctor had said; she needed to be able to walk.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn scowled at her. "Just what do you think you're doing, idiot?" He made no move to stop her though. He came from a world where the strong survived and the weak died. And the wounded were picked off unless they could show they could survive. So Raevyn understood well the need to get moving. But just because he understood did not mean he was happy by it. He hated to see Ashriel in pain. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Ashriel looked at Raevyn. "What if we get separated on the way to or from school? Crutches would just a inhibitor. I need to be able to walk." She looked down at her feet, scowling as she continued to put pressure on the one that hurt so badly.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... "And if you permanently damage the leg? Then what?" Raevyn asked mildly. "Push an injury too far and you can set yourself back, either temporarily or permanently. Be careful with what you're doing." He watched her carefully, ready to catch Ashriel if her leg gave out on her. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Ashriel looked at Raevyn again, realizing he had a point. She picked herself back up on the bed, sighing gently. "I suppose you are right." She responded reluctantly.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... "Good girl." Raevyn murmured with a smile. He was getting the hang of this, coaxing Ashriel rather than ordering. Ordering often caused her to fight back but he was getting better at coaxing her to what he wanted. And right now, he wanted to be pet. He shifted to his cat form, crawling onto her lap. He wondered if he could distract her long enough that she would forget about the pointers he promised her. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Ashriel pet him quietly, whispering to him. "I'm not gonna forget about your promise. By the way - you better show me before we have to leave tomorrow." She told him, smirking as she continued to pet him.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn glared up at her, then heaved a sigh. He curled up, closing his eyes. He appeared to go to sleep, but then he started talking. "I can't really show you, as we don't have most of the animals to practice on, but each animal has it's own set of weaknesses." He paused, then continued with a wince. "Cats, tail and ears. Or eyes or nose. All very sensitive. Don't even try to do anything to our body or paws or majority of our head. Won't do anything. The same is true for most animals, along with the throat. Wolves are much the same as cats. Neither of us like bright lights either. For hawks, wings. Definitely wings. They hate anything touching their wings." He stopped there, trying to think of how to explain the bears. They were the trickiest to explain. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Ashriel smiled as Raevyn told her. As she heard him explain, she listened carefully. When he stopped, she thought for a moment. "What got Jen?" She asked him, knowing that it looked too big to be a cat or wolf.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn sighed again. "Lucian said it was a bear, albeit a young one." He paused then continued. "Bears are tricky. They're fur is thicker than any other were. It's hard to do much to them. They're clumsy though, and not as fast as the other were's. And in their bear for, their eyesight sucks. They need really bright light in order to see well. They use their nose more than anything. The best way to defend against a bear is run in a zigzag or beat their nose. I suggest not getting that close though. Those jaws are powerful. They're not little black bears Ashriel. These are grizzly bears, big and powerful." The tiger that should be....isn't....
