Ok, I'm a Catholic. I know many people will read that and think 'uh-oh' but I'm actually for gay marriage. I even went against the church, and my own family, and voted for it even though it's on the list of Five Things Good Catholics Don't Support. (I'm serious, they were handing out this list in church) I've also read the Bible, and i don't remember any passage where it says flat out that being gay is a sin. So I don't know where everyone who mentions that is getting it from.
But besides all of that, who cares? How someone is, who someone loves doesn't affect me or anyone else but themselves. People should just get thier heads out of their asses and get their noses out of other people's buisiness.
I have a friend who's gay, and he's one of the sweetest people I know. It breaks my heart that people are going to treat him like something stuck to the bottom of their shoe for the rest of his life. And I hate the fact that, if he ever wanted to, he'd have so much opposition to getting married.

Ahem, already posted my answer in another thread, but: No separation between Church and State. Gays are ok, and if god really exists, you know the saying: "With absolute power comes absolute corruption.". The Bible is a fiction book, no proof any of the events actually happens. When I see some proof, I will haplessly believe.

I was thinking the same thing. If gays/bis/lesbians are aaaaall going to hell, then WHY IN GOD'S NAME
DID HE MAKE THEM? If he wanted a 'perfect' race, he would've done so. Also, I hate the government for outlawing marriage of the same sex. It pisses me off to no end. Gays/bis/lesbians are to be treated as PEOPLE. Not worthless government pawns that you can throw around as the elections go. It's sickening, and VERY inhumane. Just let them be!

I find it oddly ridiculous that people do mind. They believe in something different then we do, so does that make them monsters. No. They are just like us and should be able to live life normally and not have to be worried about what others think.
But one thing I disagree about is bisexuals. They should choose a side.

So what you're saying is that if you're attracted to both men and women there's something wrong with you, but as long as you're only attracted to one or the other it's okay? That hardly seems fair.
Being bisexual doesn't mean that you go out and have sex with everyone regardless of their gender any more than being a straight guy means going out and having sex with every woman you see.
It's not about choosing, it's about who you are attracted to. Why should I limit my options because some people can't grasp that I have sexual/romantic feelings for people based on something other than their sex?

I am not against it, because several off my friends are bi or lesbian, (me not being one of them), but I do not vote that everyone is.
I am not saying it is a bad thing, just that...we nrrf opposite sex interactions to kept us alive and people are against it because of religion and that can become a very touchy topic in and of itself.
People should be with the ones they love, but we can not change society for THEIR needs because of all the religions in the world and it would cause chaos in many countries.
I am not for people showing their "pride", that does not help. Sure, you can be proud of it and show it, but do not march parades. That might not get people on your side because (no offense) that is pure stupidity.

CnnmnSpider I think for many people, it's a fear/hatred of anything different from them that makes them mistreat sexual minorities. They don't know how to deal with the idea that not everyone is like them because it upsets their view on the world, so they shun those that they don't understand. Right, they could 'not understand,' its possible. Or, they could just be the bitter *ssholes that a great deal of humanity is, and they mistreat humanity not because they 'don't understand,' but just for the sake of being cruel. I'm straight myself, but I have no problem with people of other sexual persuasions.

I don't get why some people are so opposed to gays/gay marriages. What does God have to do with anything? I know, I'm atheistic so I really wouldn't get it anyway, but what does God have against gays? If God created everything then were gays not created too?
What further confuses me is that some people think lesbians are fine, but gays are disgusting. I mean, gay has been used as a derogatory word, but do you ever see someone go "That's so lesbian!"? No. Look at Katy Perry for a second (yeah, yeah, I know, just do it). Everyone loved "I Kissed A Girl" which positively refers to lesbians, but in her other song "Ur So Gay", gays are referred to negatively. Strange, no?

I say there's no problem with gays. If gay is your way, that's okay. (lol, it rhymes) But seriously, gay people and gay marriage don't affect my life nor will it affect my marriage life when I get married. But, if people voted for a gay marriage ban, there's not much you can do. It only makes them more adamant if we act like sore losers about it. neutral
