Lucian pulled into the parking lot, looking at his sister as he turned off the car. "You are going to have to stay with Ash and Raevyn for now - I've got to get back to work." He was waiting for the three to get out before he was going to turn the car back on. Jennalin got out, nodding to her brother.

 The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn got out, gathering up Ashriel. "Let's get going then." He motioned for Jen to precede them up the stairs, so he could see her at all times. He glanced back at Lucian as they left and nodded. He would watch the girls. Within the apartment, it would be easier to protect them. He unlocked the door and entered warily, listening for anything out of the norm.  The tiger that should be....isn't....

Jennalin proceeded up the stairs quietly, thankful when they reached Ash's apartment. After Raevyn opened the door, she stepped in. Nothing was the matter, nothing was there. Jennalin couldn't detect anything wrong.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Hearing nothing, Raevyn relaxed. He set Ashriel down on the couch then flickered to his cat form with a sigh. It had been a bit of a strain, holding him human form after that fight. He twisted to lick at the cuts in his black pelt. "If you want to go somewhere else or want something, just let me know." He told Ashriel as he worked. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Ashriel saw Raevyn's cuts and frowned. "You got hurt." She stated the obvious, looking at him. How big had those been on his other form, how hard had they hit? And he'd received them protecting her. Pathetic, defenseless, her. He should be fine right now.
Jennalin saw the look on Ash's face and sighed, sitting down. "It isn't your fault he got hurt. He only defended you because he wanted to. You didn't make him." The girl said, fiddling with her hair.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn barely glanced at Ashriel. "Oh please. It's just a few cuts. I've had worse." After all, he'd been able to hold him human form with no one noticing anything. "And it's not your fault. Trust me, a cat never does anything it doesn't want to. I did what I did because I wanted to. If this is the cost of protecting you, then so be it." He told her simply, moving to lick at a different cut. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Ashriel looked at Raevyn for another moment before sighing. "You still shouldn't have gotten hurt." She said, although it was apparent that she'd given in. Staring down at her leg, she wished that she could walk. That she would have been able to defend herself.
Jennalin rolled her eyes, staying out of this now. She stood, going over to their fridge and looking through it.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn rolled his eyes. "Ashriel, it was two one one, versus a wolf and a bear. Chances were, I was going to get hurt." He told her simply. "I did well enough and got off lightly." He flicked his tail in a shrug, then licked a paw and swiped it across his face. "I'm already healing. I'll be fully healed in a couple hours." He said, moving to sit on Ashriel's lap, licking at a small cut on his forearm. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Ashriel frowned, but answered him quietly. "Fine, I suppose you are right." Her hand moved to start petting him, hoping she didn't hurt him in the process. She needed that feel...just to comfort her a little.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... "Of course I'm right. I always am." Raevyn told her smugly. He shifted so she was petting only his back. Because of how he'd fought, he'd managed to not get any wounds on his back. It was just his sides and legs that were scratched. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Ashriel leaned over to kiss Raevyn lightly on the top of his head as she pet him. Jennalin had just looked at them, and now her eyes were wide with surprise. "I thought you two were lying to Lix..."

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn purred quietly, content to sit and be pet. He glanced at Jennalin, not realizing what she was talking about. "Hmm? Lying about what?" He asked, his voice slow as if he couldn't be bothered to really worry about anything. The tiger that should be....isn't....

"About going out." Jennalin answered Raevyn, looking at the two with full intent. Ashriel's face became a fierce red with blush, and her eyes dipped down to look at Raevyn.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn suddenly realized what she meant and buried his face in his tail, covering his eyes and laying back his ears in embarrassment. "We talked it over." He told Jennalin, sounding embarrassed, even in his mental voice. "Decided we might as well get hung for the sheep as for the lamb." The tiger that should be....isn't....

As if the situation weren't embarrassing enough, Ashriel whispered something to Raevyn. "I need to use the restroom." She told him, her entire face still red.
