"Mooom, daaad, I'm readyyyyyy! Can we go now?" Riley said after knocking on their door and growing impatient.
"We're coming, we're coming, keep your shirt on! And to think you didn't want to go anywhere just a few minutes ago." Adrian said with an amused smile as he headed out of the room.

Amaya rolled her eyes, but followed after Adrian, sticking her hands in her pockets as they went out the door. "So what are we having for lunch?" She asked, already starting to get hungry as they walked.

"I don't know, any suggestions?" Adrian asked as he looked down at Riley, who was already holding his hand and swinging it as they walked.
"Can we go to Burger King?" Riley asked as he looked up at Amaya for her approval.

((Sorry, went to get car estimates and the first one made me cry. I told the second guy I loved him.))
"You're lucky even after ten years I still eat like a kid, according to your dad." Amaya told Riley with a grin as she ruffled his hair. "Burger King is fine with me."

((Lol. I'm sorry the first mean car man made you cry.))
"I'm standing by that until I see evidence of the contrary." Adrian said as Riley let go of his hand for a moment to chase some birds a short way ahead of them. "Want to see if Cali wants to join us for lunch? It feels like it's been a while since we all went out together."

"I'll call her and see if she wants to meet us." Amaya murmured before pulling out her phone to call her. After a few moments she got Cali on the phone and spoke with her before smiling and nodding, hanging up a minute later. "She's going to meet us. Anything for free food." Amaya mused as she looked at Adrian.
((They wanted 1000 more dollars than the second guy. crying )))

((Capitalism! )) "Considering we do all the cooking at home, she's already getting free food on a regular basis." Adrian half joked before noticing Riley was getting kinda far ahead of them. "Don't go too far, Riley! The King's not going anywhere, there's no need to hurry!"

((Jerks wanting me to buy a new hood for my car when the second guy is just like, ******** that I've got this. Grrrr...))
"Well, it's not house food. Eh, whatever." Amaya sighed. She had shadows following Riley. Hell, she had Riley's shadow in her control if she needed to use it, so Amaya wasn't too worried about Riley getting ahead. "So long as the king stays at his palace." She muttered, having remembered commercials of him standing outside windows.

"I've had nightmares about Hazama wearing the giant head." Amaya said with a shrug as they walked, her hand slipping into Adrian's hand easily.

"Oh, god, that's terrifying!" Adrian said despite his laughter at the image he got. "Still a shame Cali couldn't make...you know, less scary imaginary friends."

"Well she's been friends with him for ten years. Ken went the way of Peter...so who knows..." Amaya murmured with a shrug. "Maybe she just finds Hazama to be the go to."

Amaya smiled, shaking her head as she slowly caught up to Riley. "You're not going to starve to death." She reassured him as she stretched a bit. "Why are you so worked up over lunch anyway?"

"Because eating out is like, always better than what you can get at home." Riley replied as if it were a well known fact.
"Your grandma was a chef. It really doesn't make much difference to me." Adrian said with a shrug and an amused smile.
