The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn sighed at her stubbornness. "Then think of it as my get well soon gift." He told her simply. He made a face at the bloodstained couched. "Ew. Yeah, let's go find a couch I can actually sit on." He said, looking over the rest with distaste. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Ashriel thought for a moment before looking at him. Well, she did want a new couch - and these were all nasty. "Fine. But nothing too expensive." She answered simply, frowning. After she was out the door of Goodwill, Ash looked at Raevyn. "Please tell me that you know where a furniture store would be." There was her basic admittance that every piece of furniture in her apartment had either been there when she moved in, or she had gotten it from Goodwill.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn chuckled and led the way out of the store and down the street. "Thank you for finally conceding. Those couches were disgusting me. If you had bought one, I was never sitting on it." He told her with a small chuckle. "Seriously. Be glad you can't smell what I can. You did not want those couches." He led her into a proper furniture store, looking over the selections. "See anything you want?" The tiger that should be....isn't....

Ashriel looked at him, thinking for a moment upon a rebuttal. "Well, you sit on the one I've got now - I got it the same way." That one had smelled of death when she bought it, but it had been the cheapest. As they entered into the furniture store, Ashriel's eyes went wide. Wow, the couches were all so...perfect looking. She went over to a blue denim couch, sitting on it. A smile crossed her face. "I do like this one..." She said, setting the crutches beside her.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn wrinkled his nose. "Yeah. And I don't like that one much better. But you've been sitting on it so long that your scent covers up most of the old scent." Which made it bearable in his opinion. He smiled, seeing her sitting on the couch. "I'll be right back." He disappeared to talk to a salesperson nearby, gesturing back to Ashriel occasionally. With a nod, he turned to the till and paid with his debit card, not caring about the price really. Ashriel liked it and that was good enough for him. He went back to Ashriel, offering a hand to help her up. "It'll be delivered this afternoon." He told her with a smile. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Ashriel used Raevyn's hand to get up, peeking at the price while he went up to pay. It seemed like a lot to her...but, then again, she'd never bought a new couch. Perhaps that was cheap. She didn't bother grabbing the crutches, having just decided that she was sick of using them.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn grabbed the crutches and handed them to Ashriel with a pleasant smile, though one that seemed to promise trouble if she ignored him. "The doctor said stay off it and that means using the crutches." He told her sweetly. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Ashriel looked at Raevyn stubbornly. "I don't need them." She declared, and she began walking towards the door, depending on her right leg. And it was very much apparent that she was depending on her good leg as she walked.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn growled and caught up to Ashriel easily, catching her about the waist. "Use the damn crutches would you? You've had enough damage done to your body. Let's not make it worse." He told her in a low voice, thrusting the crutches at her. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Ashriel sighed, taking the crutches. She didn't ask for Raevyn to let go of her because, to be honest, she didn't want him to. She would rather walk home like this than on the crutches. But she wasn't about to say that suggestion aloud, because he might freak.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn, oblivious to her thoughts, let go and stepped back to give Ashriel room for the crutches. "Much better." He muttered then led the way out of the store. He looked around then back to Ashriel. "Anywhere else? Since we're out anyways and you look like you're gonna shoot me if I force you back onto the couch." He told her with a grin. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Ashriel thought for a moment. "I wanna get myself a new book." If she was going to be on the couch all day, might as well read something or another. She still didn't mention what was in just a week; her birthday. It was marked with a circle on her fridge calendar, but she wasn't sure if Raevyn had flipped to the new month yet. Even if he had, it wasn't like she wrote that it was her birthday - no, she just circled the date, like she did every year.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... "Alright." Raevyn nodded easily, secretly pleased. Now he could finally get her something as a gift. He'd noticed the circled date and had asked Jennalin about it the one day, while Ash was sleeping. At the bookstore, he told Ash, "Have fun. I'm gonna go find something for me. I'll find you in a little bit." He drifted off down one of the other isles, looking. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Ashriel walked off, her fingers trailing over the books. Let's see...which one did she want? Oh, it was so hard to pick just one. She frowned at the selection, unable to choose between four different books. Of course she'd only brought enough money for two, and she didn't want to spend money from her savings for leisure activities. Finally deciding on two, she put the others back quietly, wishing she'd been able to get all for. She set to carrying them up to the counter, moving carefully so she didn't drop them.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn went to the other set of tills at the far back, buying her present. He hadn't been able to decide what books to get, so he simply bought her a gift card for the book store. Using Ashriel's scent to track her back, he paused, seeing the two books that were coated in her scent. Mentally he reviewed his bank account then decided hell with it. He wasn't paying rent every month so he could easily afford this. He grabbed the books and got in line behind Ashriel, paying after her. He wondered how long it would take her to notice him trailing her. The tiger that should be....isn't....
