 The Halloween party I went to was pretty fun. We watched some horror films (a majority being more comical than scary), a group of us went for a walk around the neighborhood, and we saw the various costumes that trick or treaters were wearing when they came to the door for candy. There was a family that were all wearing Steampunk-styled clothing; I wish I could've seen all of their costumes better because they were absolutely fantastic. Probably my favorite of the evening, besides what my friend-acquaintance Kayla did with her wedding dress.
Kayla has bought the wedding dress for her wedding... but due to her being pregnant when her wedding date finally came around, she wasn't able to fit into it. So, she had to wear a different dress for her wedding. Kayla ended up taking her original wedding dress, dying it a dark maroon color and adding gold sequin decorations to it. Strapped on a pair of butterfly wings and made a mask to match. The final product was gorgeous!
Although I can't share an actual photo of it, I did make this TekTek version of it. I think I did a fairly good job of replicating the costume with what Gaia has.

So, this morning was a bit emotional for me.
I got up early on the intent of going to help my friend Melissa move into her new apartment. I drove all of the way to her parents' place as she said I should go and typical for me, I arrived a tad bit earlier than usual. However, when I arrived there was no cars in the driveway - which is odd because there usually is always a vehicle in the driveway. So, I texted my friend, asking if anyone was home. After not receiving a response, I decided to go ahead and go ring the bell and see if anyone would answer. No one did but I could hear Minnie barking whenever the door bell rang. I texted me friend again asking for confirmation on the date and time we were doing her moving. Still didn't receive a response. I even called her phone but she didn't pick up. After waiting there for a half hour, I finally decided to head home. At the point, I was feeling confused, annoyed, and hurt. Kept having moments during my drive where I felt like I was about to break down and cry. Upon coming home and checking Facebook (and looking back at her status), I discovered that I had messed up on what day she was having her moving day. It wasn't today... but Sunday. *sighs*

So... I essentially drove all the way out there for nothing.
And the reason why I wasn't receiving any responses back from Melissa was because she was at work.
