The wolf pushed onwards toward the shore. She was light so he didn't waste a lot of energy, but it did make swimming awkward. Hitting land, he pulled her in, biting onto her cowl.

The drow flinched in pain, coughing up blood as the wolf pulled her in. "Please...get Fid..." She whispered to the wolf, shuddering in pain as she looked up at him, her hand still clamped over the wound as blood trickled through her fingers. It was bad, and if Fid would come or not, she didn't know, but she hoped he would.

The wolf nodded and howled, running off. The howl was to stop Fid from walking off as the wolf found him. It worked too. Soon the half-elf was running beside the beast to where Maya was. Crouching by her side, he took out bandages from his pack. "Sorry. No salve this time." He began to wrap up the wounds. He noticed that one of them, the resent one, was a clean cut. Elf maybe?

Maya only groaned as Fid arrived and began wrapping her wounds. Soon after she lost consciousness from the exhaustion and the pain, her hand now slipping off the wound she'd been covering as more blood began to flow from the wound.

Fid could see the blood, but it didn't set him off. He quickly set a lot of bandaging there and wrapped it tight. As soon as he was satisfied that he did all he could, he began to set up his tent for her. The sun was probably killing her as much as the cuts. The foolish girl should have found shelter.

By dusk, Maya had come around, though she groaned as she slowly pushed herself up onto her elbows. She hissed in pain when she was reminded of her wounds, and now looked around, very confused. She didn't really know where she was at the moment or what time it was, but she was worried.

Fid walked in and set a piece of cooked meat by here with some berries and root he found. They were lain out on a piece of fabric so they didn't get dirty. "Eat. You need your strength. we will leave tomorrow night." He didn't take a second glance at her as he left the tent to sit by the river.

She stared at Fid when he walked in, then transferred her stare to the food once he left. He seemed mad. She moved to go after him, but her limbs felt like they were weighed down with stones. Sighing, the drow ate the berries, barely finding the strength to even chew them by the time she finished. Hopefully she'd be able to find more strength in a bit, but until then, she could only lay there and stare at the meat and root, thinking about Fid being angry with her.

Fid walked into the tent soon and looked at her remaining food. "Eat or it will spoil. Then it is good for no one." He lied down opposite the tent than her. With his back to her, he tried to not think about her. Why was he angry at her? he didn't know, but he was.

Maya sighed inwardly and did her best to finish the food. She shouldn't have been this weak, but for some reason she was. "Fidelius...why are you angry with me?..." She asked quietly. Anger was something she understood well, though she couldn't figure out why he was mad at her.

"Don't worry about it." Cold... callous... he was angry... or did he feel betrayed? she abandoned him in the city. Maybe that was it. He grunted and tried to go to sleep. He needed sleep, but the anger would keep him up.

Sighing, Maya turned her head away from Fid and laid there. She felt embarrassed after she kissed him and he seemed uncomfortable. Maybe that's why she didn't want to go with him when she left the city. She didn't want to be embarrassed again. Or perhaps it was that she didn't want to drag others in her complicated family matters when they weren't a part of it. Rolling onto her uninjured side, she turned her back to Fid, laying there as she stared at the side of the tent.

Fid woke up as soon as the sun was up. Grumbling, he walked out and went to get Maya more food. If she is to heal, she needed the nutrition. He went over to the meat he had roasting and salting in a small pit and went to collect more berries and roots.
