Ashriel nodded; it would be nice to get out of the house. She stopped biting her lip although she didn't say anything. Well, she was still thinking. The waitress brought back their receipt and Ashriel's card, meaning it was okay for them to go now. "Sounds good - it'll be nice to be out of the apartment. I don't like being stuck there." She, of course, wished that she could still work, but she realized that it would be difficult - and pointless to attempt - to waitress with crutches. "Too bad I can't work until I'm off of these darn things." Her voice was smooth as she cursed the crutches lightly.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn cocked his head to the side, thinking. "Hmm. What about dishes? Could Mama maybe put you to work there? That doesn't require much movement, if any." He seemed to be just thinking aloud. Shaking his head, he slid out of the booth and offered Ashriel a hand up. "Whatever. We'll ask Mama later. Anywhere else you wanna hit today?" The tiger that should be....isn't....

Ashriel looked at Raevyn quietly, taking Raevyn's hand without even bothering to grab the crutches. She thought for a few moments, no ideas coming to her. "I don't know...maybe by Lix's, to tell her that I'm still alive?" She suggested gently, knowing that there was a large possibility of his refusal.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn made a face, grabbing the crutches and handing them to her. "Do we have to?" He asked, then sighed. "Fine, whatever. Let's go. She's your friend after all." He muttered, leading the way out of the restaurant. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Ashriel frowned as she was handed her crutches. Did he really not get her hints? Wow, he was stupid sometimes. She moved quietly after him, thinking for a moment. "Well, we don't have to go if you don't want to. Her house can be pretty chaotic. Maybe we should just invite her over." She tried to compromise, not wanting him to feel that bad.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn often missed things unless they were plainly written out for him. He didn't understand much of the human subtly. At her offer though, he shook his head lightly. "Nah. I know you don't like having her at the apartment so we'll go to her place. I just plan to go as a cat though. I will sit and your shoulders and no one is to pick me up or move me." He told Ashriel, giving her his version of a compromise. They would do what she wanted, but he would go on his own terms. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Ashriel narrowed her eyes. Finally, here was a chance where she could get what she wanted. "Fine. I'll keep you on my shoulders the entire time...only if you carry me on the way." She said, hoping that he'd now figure out what she'd been hinting out now that she bluntly said it.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn blinked. "Carry you?" He asked, sounding surprised. "I didn't think you'd want that kind of help. I thought you'd wanna try and walk on your own." It hadn't occurred to him that Ashriel would want something like that, stubborn as she was. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Ashriel looked at Raevyn quietly. "You know, crutches hurt. That...and..." She didn't finish what she was saying. No, she didn't want to admit whatever she wanted to say.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn stopped walking, turning to face Ashriel. "I'll carry you if you finish that thought and not leave me hanging like you always do." He told her, crossing his arms. His amber eyes were playful though, showing he wasn't mad at her or anything. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Ashriel bit her lip, thinking for a moment. She met his eyes before speaking. "And I like to be that close to you...in your arms." Her voice was quiet as she added the last part of what she'd been saying.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn touched her lip lightly with one finger as a reminder. He pulled his hand away as she began to talk though. Hearing her explanation, he looked surprised. "Really?" He asked curiously, though he was already picking her up, crutches and all. He had agreed after all, and he kept his word. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Ashriel stopped biting her lip, smiling as he lifted her. "Yes, really." She answered him quietly, admitting something to herself at the same time. Something that had took her a long time to bring herself to believe. After all, it was different...actually wanting to be so near to someone.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... "Well, in that case, who am I to argue?" Raevyn asked rhetorically, shrugging his shoulders. He looked around the streets. "So where does Lix live, anyways? I've never been to her place." All he knew of her house was that there was a lot of people there. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Ashriel thought for a moment before whispering Lixini's address into his ear. It was in a well-known, small subdivision - the largest houses having three bedrooms. "Just warning you, Lix is the most mature of all of her siblings...even if she isn't the oldest." She told Raevyn carefully, hoping that he wouldn't change his mind.
