Ashriel smiled, speaking quietly under her breath. "You seem that way around Lix." As if on cue, Krixion tripped over the edge of a rug and fell, bursting into tears.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... "She's a scary girl. After that first meeting, I reserve every right to dislike her." Raevyn reminded Ashriel of the first meeting with the girl, one that had resulted in him almost being choked to death.
Lixini gasped as her sister fell. She hurried to the girl's side, giving her a hug. "Now now, what did I say about breaking the house?" She asked the girl playfully, trying to calm her down. "Are you okay? What'd you hit?" The tiger that should be....isn't....

Ashriel rolled her eyes lightly. "Sure, you do." She said quietly, looking worriedly over at Lix and Krix.
"Everywhere!" Krixion whined, crying. Of course, the phone had to start ringing just then - presumably their mother checking in on Krixion.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Lixini sighed, hearing the phone ring. As if it was a common occurrence - and indeed it was - she simply picked up Krixion and headed for the phone. "Shh. I need to answer the phone." She murmured to the little girl, kissing her forehead lightly. She picked up the phone. "Hello? Hey mom. Nah, we're good. Krix fell again, but she'll be okay, won't you?" She asked, smiling at her sister. "We'll just get a nice treat and make everything better." The tiger that should be....isn't....

Ashriel smiled as Krixion stopped crying the minute that Lixini kissed her forehead. "Well, Lix, I gotta go. See you later." Ash said, turning to leave.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Lixini cradled the phone between her ear and her shoulder, freeing her hand to wave. "Bye Ash! Get better soon!" She called, then turned back to the phone. "Ash was here, that's all. Came to say hi. Mm-hm. Okay. Bye." Hanging up the phone, she turned to Krixion. "What do you say we sneak some ice cream?" She asked secretively, though she knew her mom didn't mind if they had a spoonful or two every now and then.
Raevyn turned back to watch Lixini as Ashriel left. His amber eyes were impassive, but he was watching. It was enough to tell anyone who knew him that he was curious. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Krixion giggled with glee as Ashriel shut the door after herself and Raevyn. "Iceeeecreeeaaam!" She yelled, and her voice could be heard through the closed door.
Ashriel began to walk down the street, smiling as she did so. "Do you see what I mean about Lix being a bit more mature?" She made it towards the end, where she stopped for a minute.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn watched the closed door long after they'd left. It was only when Ashriel spoke to him that he dragged his gaze away. "I suppose so." He seemed reluctant to admit it, but there was no way to deny it. Lixini was much more mature when she had someone to care for. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Ashriel still stood still, her head shifted to look at Raevyn. They were at a point where no one could see them. "You know, my condition still applies. And Lix is only her little kid self around us - the only time she every gets the chance. After all, being the second oldest, she never really got to be immature. Always a perfect example for her little brother and sisters - her twin working with her for the same reason. If you saw Alex, you would freak about how much alike they are." She explained to Raevyn, still not bothering to move.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... "Condition?" Raevyn asked in confusion, then remembered. He slid down Ashriel's front, jumping to the ground. He flickered to his human form and picked her up. "It makes sense I guess. It's just that first impressions are a big deal. And trust me, being choked does not make a good first impression." He told her, walking down the street. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Ashriel smiled as she was lifted, looking up at Raevyn. "You have to remember that she didn't know she had to make a first impression. She thought that you were just my pet cat - not a classmate." She laughed, grinning. "Give her a second chance?"

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... "Whether she intended to or not, she made a fist impression." Raevyn grumbled, then sighed. "But fine, if that's what you want. I'll try." He agreed, giving into Ashriel. "Only cause you asked though." He told her, kissing her forehead lightly. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Ashriel smiled happily. "Thank you so much." She told him softly, grinning at the kiss as well. Now, couldn't she bring herself to lift herself to give him a real kiss? Nope. She might be brave, but not about this. Why was it so much easier when he was a cat?

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn padded down the street in the general direction of their apartment. "Anywhere else to go today? Or are we heading back to our place?" He asked easily, the answer not really mattering to him. It was nice to be out in the open air, no walls around him. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Ashriel looked at Raevyn quietly. "Unless you are willing to take me to my tree for a little bit, we are headed home." She told him, knowing that he already knew what tree she was talking about.
