The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... "Tree sounds like a good idea to me." Raevyn said with a nod. He glanced down at Ashriel and smiled. "I don't mind staying outside for a little longer." He confided to her, changing their direction. "And with Lucian watching Jennalin, it's a nice reprieve." The tiger that should be....isn't....

Ashriel smiled as he agreed. He would actually take her to her tree, her pond. Of course, she had a feeling that he wouldn't be so okay with what she wanted to do while she was there. As usual, she had full intentions of watching through that back door, looking at the family that had kicked her out nearly a year before. In addition, she wanted to sit at the base of that tree to retrieve something she'd hidden under the trunk years before.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn walked, carrying her weight easily. Oblivious to her intentions, her carried Ashriel to the tree, setting her down at the base. "Happy now?" He asked with a smile. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Ashriel smiled after Raevyn set her down. "Yeah." She said quietly, her arm reaching back below the trunk. Carefully, she pulled out a small Tupperware container. Opening it quietly, she saw a bunch of sketches from the years that her parents took her to the doctor - along with notes, stories, and other trinkets she'd made. Shutting it again, she set it next to her, on top of her crutches. She was taking that with her. Her eyes moved to stare at her old back door, the glass window revealing a pair laughing about something.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn looked at the container curiously, but he bit his tongue and didn't ask. Seeing her looking at something, he followed her gaze. He frowned as he saw the pair. Raevyn moved deliberately, planting himself in the way of her view. "No." He said quietly but firmly. "If all you wanted to do was come here and watch those idiots then we are leaving right now." He didn't care if it meant going back inside so soon. He was not going to let Ashriel dwell on those thoughts. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Ashriel looked at Raevyn when he moved in front of her, scooting forward to hug him. A smile crossed her face simply, and she looked at his eyes. "Thanks." She told him softly, not giving a reason why. She didn't want to tell him why. "Let's stay here for a while. You can stay right there if you want." She said quietly as she looked at him.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... "Um....You're welcome?" Raevyn said, looking confused. "What am I being thanked for? And I'm not gonna sit here." He moved to Ashriel's other side. "I'm gonna sit here and you're gonna look at me. Not at the ugly house behind you." He told her stubbornly. This way, he would know for sure when she tried to look at the house. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Ashriel smiled, her eyes following Raevyn quietly. She didn't answer him, only picking up her box and holding it. It had been a while since she'd last unearthed it - and she had no intentions of it going back into its hiding place. No, it was coming home with her. She shut her eyes, leaning against Raevyn.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... ((God gaia is stupid tonight. I'm off to bed. Night!))
Raevyn wrapped an arm around Ashriel's shoulders, holding her close to his side. He liked having her scent close. It calmed and relaxed him, knowing she was close and safe. "So what was I being thanked for?" He asked the question again. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Ashriel didn't open her eyes, only speaking quietly. "For stopping me." She told him, her voice giving evidence that she was slowly falling asleep. So much action after so much inactivity was too much; she was tired now. Her breathing slowed as she fell asleep with her little box in her arms.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... "Ah." Raevyn murmured understandingly. He pet her hair softly as she fell asleep. He was content to sit like this and let her rest. He liked being outdoors after being stuck inside for so long, watching Ashriel. Besides, he didn't want to randomly turn into a cat as he slept, not when Ash seemed so comfortable when tucked against his side. So he contented himself to watching little leaves floating on the pond's surface. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Ashriel curled up against Raevyn in her sleep; his warmth seemed to be cradling her, making it easy for her to sleep. She whispered in her sleep, barely intelligible. "IthinkImightjustlovehim." She muttered quietly.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... "Hmm? You say something?" Raevyn asked drowsily, glancing at her. He'd let his attention drift and only just caught her voice. He wasn't sure if he'd heard what he thought he had. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Ashriel continued snuggling close against him, not answering. She was very apparently asleep, staying close to him. Shivering carefully, she curled tighter against him. "Don'tleavemealone." She mumbled in her sleep, her arms letting go of her box to grab against Raevyn's waist.
