 The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Now that he was paying attention to her, Raevyn heard what she said though it was mumbled. "Shh......I won't leave. I promise." He murmured soothingly. He didn't even know if it was him she was "talking" to, but it seemed like the right thing to say. He shifted, pulling Ashriel onto his lap and cradling her. "Shh.....Shh......I'm right here. I won't go away."  The tiger that should be....isn't....

Ashriel continued to sleep solidly, staying where she was, curled against him. It was slowly growing cooler outside as it became later in the afternoon; it was creeping towards the time which her couch was to be delivered during. Ash still showed no signs of waking up as time went on.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn stayed awake, simply listening to the world around him and relaxing. He let Ashriel sleep for as long as he could. Soon though, he knew the new couch would be arriving and they had to be there to greet it. Carefully, he gathered Ashriel's box and crutches, picking them up as he picked her up, trying not to wake her as he did so. Balancing the load carefully, he began walking home. He kept Ashriel curled to his chest to ward off the chill of the air, since he ran a normal temperature that was higher than a human's. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Even as Raevyn lifted her and began carrying her, Ashriel kept in her sleep. Why would she be so tired? Probably just do to the sudden activity, after a week of nothing but sleep. Her body was just complaining about having to work. She had no trouble sleeping through the journey there, though Raevyn may have noticed one or two eyes watching from the alleyways as he walked. Luckily, there were still enough people out that, if they were attacked, there would be too many witnesses.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn simply glared at the eyes, raising his lips just a touch. Just enough to show the barest hing of a fang. He wouldn't back down from them. But right now, he made getting Ashriel home a priority, while there was still enough people out that they wouldn't attack. He wasn't afraid for himself but he did fear for Ashriel. He breathed a small sigh of relief as he reached home, unlocking the apartment and entering. He closed and locked the door before heading straight to the bedroom, setting Ashriel on the bed. He didn't know why she was so tired but he wasn't going to be the one to ruin her sleep. He tucked her into the bed, then headed for the living room to wait for the couch. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Almost the very second that Raevyn set her down on the bed, Ashriel woke. "When'd I get home?" She spoke aloud, moving to stand even though she hadn't a clue where the crutches were.
Just seconds after that, there was a thunderous knock on the door, with a phone call at the same time. One guess at who was calling, and who was at the door. Hint: they aren't the same person. For once.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... "Just now. I brought you home." Raevyn called to Ashriel as he left the room. He glanced from the phone to the door, noting that it wasn't Jennalin's knock. Which meant that for once it wasn't her. A suspicion rose into his mind - Where had Jennalin learned that trick? Her brother? He answered the phone and went to check the peep hold at the door. "Hello?" The tiger that should be....isn't....

A voice streamed quickly through the phone. "Where have you guys been? I've only been calling once every five minutes for the past hour, and Luke's been knocking every ten!" As usual, it was Jennalin. When Raevyn would glance through the peephole, he would see a very...angry Lucian.
Ashriel stood up quietly, walking clumsily - and painfully - out into the hallway. She saw Raevyn at the phone, and she grinned. She'd seen this oh so many times. "Letmeguess, Jen's on the phone, and Luke's at the door." Her voice was easy as she spoke - she recognized that knock. And she also could tell that Lucian was angry at something or another.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn glared at Ashriel. "Sit down, right now! You know better than to be walking like that." He pointed demandingly to the couch, then turned his attention back to the phone and door. He opened the door so he could answer Jennalin and Lucian at once. "Ashriel wanted to go out, so I took her out. She was perfectly safe and I'd left Jennalin with you." He directed the last comment at Lucian.
((Did you know we has a devoted stalker?)) The tiger that should be....isn't....

--o.o no, I did not. Though, I must admit - I've been stalking a couple of your rps...-- Ashriel continued to walk into the kitchen, beginning to dig through the fridge. "I'm just fine." She was fine - it barely hurt. At least, she didn't think it was that bad.
Lucian sighed lightly. "Okay, that's fine. Although I would like it if you told me if you two were leaving, just in case of emergency, that isn't what I'm worried about. Jen won our argument this morning - she told mum where we are living right now." That explained why Lucian was so angry. "Mum's on her way here. Should be here in one or two days."
Jennalin sighed into the phone. "Yeah, Luke got a little mad at me. But I was actually worried that someone snuck into your apartment, grabbed Ash, and you were chasing after them!" So occasionally calm Jennalin let her imagination get the best of her.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... ((Yeah. Luxurious Poverty (or Rawring Ninja as he used to be) has been our stalker from day one. And I didn't realize you were stalking me elsewhere. Mind if I ask where? Is curious now.))
Raevyn turned to call to Ashriel. "I said sit down!" He turned back to Lucian and Jennalin. "If that was the case Jen, I wouldn't have paused to lock the door......And why is your mum finding us such a big deal to worry about?" He didn't see the problem, but then again, he hadn't seen his mother since he was a child. The tiger that should be....isn't....

--well, seafoam and will of the oppressed to begin with...not sure what else at the moment.-- "I'm getting something to eat!" Ashriel called back to Raevyn, still digging through the fridge. She was now balancing on her good foot as she leaned over.
Lucian heaved a sigh. "Because she's known for years - and that wasn't exactly the only thing I've done...so she's a little worried for Jen. And I'm in trouble, so she is determined to come. Also, when the girls were younger, Ash was at our house more often than not. Literally. Every single day, Ash would either be at our house, or Jen would be at hers. They never left each other." He said, and Jennalin came bursting out of their apartment, her face a pure red color.
"You said you wouldn't tell him!" She whined, hitting her older brother, who began rubbing the place where she'd hit him. "And I didn't think about that..." She muttered, standing by her brother. Side by side, you could tell how much taller Lucian was compared to Jennalin. He could easily use her as an armrest - like he begun doing at that moment.

Raevyn sighed. "Great. Just what we need - Another person involved." He glared mildly at Jennalin. "How the hell did you win that argument?" Speaking of arguing, he'd given up arguing with Ashriel. He'd yell at her later. Maybe. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Jennalin grinned back at Raevyn. "Easy. He needed to use the restroom, I had my phone in my pocket. Called mom when he was in there." She answered simply, her eyes watching inside. Ashriel was now at the stove, cooking something in a pot.
