Ashriel looked at him, still getting up. She did decide to stand anyway. "Fine. I'm going to the bathroom." She declared, walking to the restroom before he could stop her. Behind her, she slammed and locked the door, staring into the mirror quietly. She turned on the tub, the sound of the water splashing echoing through the apartment.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn groaned, watching her walk away. "Stupid, stupid, stupid." He muttered, smacking his head with the heel of his hand. He was secretly glad though, that she hadn't asked what else he'd been about to say. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Ashriel took off her clothes and the walking cast and got into the tub quietly, leaning back in the warm water. She turned off the water, calming down as she lay there. Meanwhile, Jennalin had just finished doing the dishes. "What was it you'd been about to say?" Jennalin asked curiously, looking at him. She'd already figured out what had gone wrong, at least.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn jumped at the sound of Jennalin's voice. He'd forgotten about her. As the question sank into his mind, he turned bright red. "Nothing." He muttered, looking away. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Jennalin frowned at Raevyn's answer. She sighed before speaking again. "Maybe if you told me, I could tell you whether or not it would fix things." She told him, looking at the new sofa quietly. It was so out of place in the home full of Goodwill furniture.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn glanced at Jennalin, then away. He was still blushing bright red but he recognized the truth in her words. "I, I....." He fumbled for a moment, trying to find the right words. "I want her to be mine. I don't want anyone else to do anything to her. I want to be able to call her mine." He thought Jennalin might understand it a little bit better because of her knowledge of weres, cats in particular. They often claimed things and protected them fiercely. They claimed objects and territories - Or mates. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Jennalin smiled softly. "If you'd said that to her, she wouldn't be so angry. She's just not used to terms of possession being something like that. If you'd explained yourself, she wouldn't have been angry, most likely." Jennalin told him simply, before going to look around the house.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn sighed, running a hand through his hair. "I don't know if I can tell her." He said wryly. "I just tried right now and couldn't." He flopped down onto the couch, stretching out and laying on it. He kept one ear cocked towards the bathroom, listening for Ashriel out of habit. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Jennalin looked to him quietly. "You'll be able to sooner or later." She told him simply, and a splash, along with a yelp, could be heard from the bathroom. "That can't be good." Jen said, going over to the door. She attempted to turn the knob, only to find it locked. "Toothpick...toothpick..." She muttered as she began searching the kitchen.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... "Mm-hmm." Raevyn murmured noncommittally. He was up on his feet the instant he heard the yelp though. He looked towards the bathroom door, wanting to help but knowing it would be a bad idea. "Toothpicks are cupboard above the left counter, bottom shelf, right hand side." He directed Jen, not looking away from the bathroom door. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Jennalin found the toothpicks, finding one and going to the bathroom door. She easily opened it using the toothpick, looking at Ashriel. "What happened?"
Ashriel looked at Jennalin simply. The water was now draining from the tub. "I hit my leg trying to get out, since I slipped." Jennalin looked at Ashriel worriedly before realizing that Ash couldn't get out on her own. She grabbed Ash's towel, going over to her friend to hold her up enough for the other girl to wrap it around herself.
"Err...Raevyn, I can't lift her." Jennalin called, Ashriel's face already a pure red.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn's body was tense as he listened to the girls. He didn't like the idea that Ash had gotten hurt. Hearing Jennalin's call though, he blushed. He sighed and walked over to the bathroom. He peeked in carefully then sighed in relief and entered as he saw Ashriel was covered. He carefully picked her up, trying to ignore the feeling of her smooth skin as he carried her to the bedroom. He set her on the bed, then looked away. "What pajamas do you want?" He asked, padding to the dresser. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Ashriel looked at him, still blushing. "My white nightgown from my closet. She told him, hoping that he'd know what else she would need. Jennalin brought the walking cast into the bedroom, setting it on the bed. She would let Raevyn coerce Ash into putting it back on. Jen sighed, going back out onto the sofa to wait for her brother to get back from work.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn grabbed a pair of underwear from the dresser then went to the closet, grabbing the nightgown. "Here." He said, dumping the clothes on the bed. "I'll be out with Jen. Let me know if you need anything else." He told her, leaving the room. Just before he closed the door, he called to Ashriel. "And the cast gets put on. I mean it. If it's not on when I come for bed, you're in trouble." He said, then closed the door and headed to join Jennalin in the living room. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Ashriel frowned when she noticed that he hadn't gotten her a bra, but she wasn't about to say anything about it. Instead, she simply put everything he had handed her on - excluding the cast. Her good leg kicked it off the bed as she decided to just pretend that it had fallen when she'd tried to grab it. She laid back, tossing the towel onto the chair she had sitting in the corner of her bedroom.
Jennalin looked at Raevyn quietly as he walked in. There was a knock on the door and the phone rang at the exact same time, the knock fierce and hard, yet gentle. "Sounds like Luke." Jen commented, looking at the door.
