The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn had simply assumed she hadn't needed one for bed. He glanced between the phone and the door, then glared at Jennalin mildly. He answered the phone as he went to check the door. "You two are annoying." He announced into the phone, loud enough for Jen to hear. "One or the other dammit." The tiger that should be....isn't....

Jennalin shrugged. "Then how do you know that it's us? And how do we know if you are just ignoring the door, thinking we're gonna go away?" She pointed out simply, grinning.
Lucian, however, wasn't so happy with Raevyn's statement. "Just open the door already so that I can take Jen home." He told the other were flatly.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn opened the door, glaring at Lucian. "Gladly. Anything to get you out of here." He gestured towards Jennalin. "Be my guest and take her." The tiger that should be....isn't....

Jennalin left out the door - she was getting used to the guys being so testy when Ash wasn't in the room, or she was asleep. At least they got along for her sake. Jen and Luke walked over to Luke's apartment, unlocking the door calmly. They locked it after them.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn personally thought they were doing well. This long as neighbors and often in the same room yet not a single physical fight. He closed the door behind Jennalin, locking it. He padded back to the bedroom, knocking lightly to warn Ashriel that he was coming in. He opened the door and spotted the cast on the floor. "Ashriel......" He said, his voice low and warning. "Why is this on the floor?" He asked as he picked up the cast. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Ashriel looked at Raevyn innocently. "It fell and I couldn't reach it." She lied smoothly, giving nothing away. No doubt he would have her put it on now, but she really didn't like it.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn eyed her, suspicious of her overly innocent act. But he couldn't prove otherwise, so he simply sighed. "Well, now you can put it on. Leg." He ordered, holding out his hand to help her put it on. "You need this on or your going to heal crooked." The tiger that should be....isn't....

Ashriel pouted, putting out her bad leg. She looked at him quietly, not really ready to go to bed yet. Her fingers made their way through her still wet hair as she sat there, looking at him. "Raevyn...Earlier, you almost said something, but stopped yourself. What was it?" She asked him quietly, knowing that he'd be able to hear. It had bothered her slightly while she'd been in the bath.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn tensed up, hearing the question. He was silent as he finished settling her leg in the cast. "I'm sorry. I shouldn't have spoken like that." He said, dodging the question. He wondered if she would press it. He couldn't even look at her, embarrassed to explain it, and it showed on his face. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Ashriel thought for a moment, looking at him. "No...it's fine. I over reacted, like the stupid idiot I am." She paused, her eyes trying to meet his. "Is that...all?" She asked him softly, moving so that she could hug him, flinching as she moved her bad leg.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... "You're not a stupid idiot." Raevyn murmured softly, returning her hug. He buried his face in her neck, breathing in her unique scent. After a moment, he pulled back slightly. "No. It's not all." He said determinedly. "I.....How did I explain it to Jennalin? I want you to be mine." He said softly, not meeting her eyes. "I don't want to watch anyone else do anything to you. I want to be able to call you mine. You might have noticed it with Lucian but cats are very possessive of objects and territories. And mates." He added the last part in a whisper, blushing. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Ashriel looked at him softly, smiling now. "Why...why didn't you say that in the first place?" She asked him, pulling him back towards her, wanting to hug him longer. She wanted to be close to him. Was this the cat's way of saying 'I love you'? If it was... Her eyes looked at him, and she wasn't sure what else to say.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... "Sorry." Raevyn murmured, burying his face in her neck again. "It's not exactly the most comfortable thing to come out and say. I'll try to watch my words from now on and not say things as if I own you. I hadn't meant it like that though." He promised her. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Ashriel sighed lightly. "If...if that was what you meant, then it really is fine. I just...I just have never heard the words used that way." She told him softly, hugging him close. A few tears fell from her eyes as she began to tire, although she didn't stop hugging tightly onto him. "I...I actually like it, if you mean it in that way." Her voice rang quietly, much like a whisper, as she spoke. Slowly, her eyes were shutting, preparing themselves for sleep.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn smiled softly. "That's how I meant it. I would never try to own you. You're too independent." He pulled back just enough to see the tears and wiped them from her cheeks. Seeing her eyes closing, he shook his head. "Look at me, keeping you awake like this. Get some sleep Ashriel." He hesitated then kissed her lightly on the lips. He kept the contact for a brief moment before pulling back and rising from the bed. He moved to the door way and turned off the lights before flipping forms and crawling back into bed. He headed straight for Ashriel, curling up in her arms without her even reaching for him. "Good night Ashriel." The tiger that should be....isn't....
