[ ack. shoot me in the face for a really late post? and really short one too. ]
A faint whistling noise caught Ciar`s attention, as the heavy irons caused a disturbance in the air. The slave trader leaned away from the incoming chains, which caught his ear instead, breaking the skin, and creating another trail of blood. Ciar stretched out one arm, and pushed the slave hard, hoping it would knock the boy off balance following the cuffs momentum. The longer the boy resisted him, the harsher the punishment would be for him and the rest. Of course, a few had to be saved in good or decent condition, so as not to " damage the goods " further than necessary.

(lol I dont mind but I can't speak for the rest)
Senryu felt the hand and followed the chains to the ground before catching them on the wrap around. He managed to save his nose but caught bloody lip in the process and realized that in his present condition he couldn't do anything. He merely lay there and accepted his fate for the time being.

The rest of Ciar`s men, those who weren`t in the crowds, the ones guarding the slave trader, dragged the defeated slave to join the other already sold ones. Ciar felt more or less cheated by the fact that he hadn`t had the chance to do more damage to it. It being Senryu. Instead, he channeled his irritation towards the next slave, a brown haired female, the one who had smartly warned the rebellious boy against grating on Ciar`s nerves. He picked her out of the line, and pushed her up on the auction block, treating her no gentler than he had the males. " No. 3842910. Healthy human female. Reclusive but somewhat temperamental. Medium strength. Talented dancer. Minimum bid... " And here he paused. Should he make it higher, or lower than before? The only reason the boy`s bid had been high was because of his fighting ability. If it was too high, no one would go for it, unless their heart was set on this slave, and nobody would be that attached. " Two hundred crystals. " He said, keeping the bid the same it was before, hoping there would be more money to catch for this one.

____________________ Kara_____ Seri_____ Ever ____________________
[I'm just happy this hasn't died. ]
Kara watched, breathing angrily through her nose, as she witnessed the older boy defeated again and again by the Keshval slave trader. His actions would only make it worse for all of them in the long run, couldn't he see that? Or was he too blind by his own idiocy?
Senryu was finally dragged away by two other "angels", as Ciar turned to select the next slave to be sold. He didn't look very happy as he drew closer, obviously not content with the drama that had just taken place. Their punishments would be severe. How far would he be willing to go before they were all concidered damaged goods? They locked eyes.
Kara shrunk back as he grabbed hold of her arm roughly, another Keshval disconnecting her from the other slaves. He tossed her towards the auction block where she stumbled, but she was able to easily catch hereself before she met with the floor. She glared at the slave trader but said nothing. She listened as he called out her number with all the enthusiasm of a slug, followed by her stats and minimum bid. It was the same as Senryu's.
Nervously she glanced around at the cold eyes fixated on her. She felt very small, staring out at the sea of bidders. Again she thought of her brother and how he must have felt being in this exact situation only a year before. What had he done, staring out at them as she did now? Automatically she straightened her back, chin lifted in a slightly arrogant air. I won't show fear. She thought to herself. He wouldn't have.

Vaanathos saw Kara and put up a bid. "Two hundred!" he called. He didn't like spending a lot of money on a slave, but hey he knew Ciar had to make a living as well. Vaanathos then sat back and waited for any other bids. For some reason, this slave intrigued him. Perhaps it was just because he had no interest in the first two.

Ciar`s eyes focused once on the back of slave`s brown head as she tried to collect herself, before shifting them over towards the crowd, seeking for the bidder. Vaanathos had finally placed a bid. The trader smirked slightly, lowering his lids as he remained silent, looking very much like the proverbial cat that ate the canary. He hoped that the crowd - they seemed so much more like one individual than separate persons in his mind - would cough up another bidder. It was against his principle to bid on slaves himself, Ciar hating the creatures. If it had been his choice, the male wouldn`t have gone into the business in the first place, yet the profit made from selling flesh was so much greater than any other. And Ciar was very good at what he did. So he decided he wouldn`t say anything, and simply wait.
[ since this whole auction thing is a bit dry, i was wondering if i could control just a few nameless Keshval in the audience to make it more interesting. ]

[ i`ve more or less lost the desire to play Ciar. :c but i`ll finish up the auctions for you guys. besides, i don`t know what he`ll be doing then, anyway.]
The male opened his mouth to announce the winning bid, thinking that all this was becoming very tedious, and uneventful, when another anonymous hand rose out of the crowd. " Two hundred and fifteen. " The owner of the hand said, and Ciar smirked inwardly. Finally something interesting would happen. Hopefully, Vaanathos would want this slave enough that he`d raise his price. Ciar nodded towards the newest bidder, " Highest bid, two hundred and fifteen crystals. "

Vaanathos rolled his eyes. However the bid was still low enough for him to keep going. "Two twenty-five" he called and raised his card again. Vaanathos didn't want to spend too much money even though everyone knew he was rich.

Yes, you could say that Ciar was enjoying himself. He kept quiet, hoping that the other Keshval would keep bidding. He did not recognize this person, even though he usually moved within the higher circles, but they would make him a good profit. " Two thirty five . " The hand called out, stubbornly refusing to back down. Ciar`s smirk began to grow, thinly spreading out across his face.

Vaanathos and grumbled at each higher bid. "Three hundred and twenty five!" he called. He hoped this new slave was worth the money he was spending on her or she would be punished for it. He fanned himself with his wings some more.
