The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn left his seat and moved to crouch beside Ashriel. He touched her lip lightly. "Stop lying and stop biting your lip. They're both bad habits." He scolded her quietly. "I'm empathic, remember? I know something's wrong. Otherwise you wouldn't be so.....nervous, so scared." The tiger that should be....isn't....

Ashriel stared at him for a moment before she fell into a hug against him. "If you really want to know..." She paused, unsure. "Iwasdebatingwhetherornottosayiloveyoubutnowthatihavetoldyouimightaswellsayitso...iloveyou." She said rapidly, all in one breath. Maybe he wouldn't understand, and she could just leave it be.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn found himself automatically returning the hug. He had to think for a moment, trying to sort through her words. It was obvious the moment he figured it out, his cheeks heating up. A pleased smile spread across his face though. "You could have just said so idiot, without making me break my brain to figure it out." He told her teasingly. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Ashriel shook her head, whispering now. "It isn't that easy." She muttered into his ear, kissing him on the cheek lightly as she held onto him.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn smiled lightly, running a hand through her blonde hair. "I know." He said quietly. "Trust me, I know." Though he'd practically said it last night, he hadn't quite come out and said it. And with Ashriel's confession, now seemed the best time to say it. "I love you Ashriel." He said, softly but firmly.
((Ha!! It only took 150 pages. XD )) The tiger that should be....isn't....

--yup.-- Ashriel smiled, staying close to him. Her eyes looked at him softly, happily. "Thank you." She said quietly, refusing to pull away. She felt better right here. Right where she was.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... "It's nothing to thank me about." Raevyn said with a chuckle before he kissed her firmly. "Now stop worrying and keep eating." He told her, rising to his feet to slid back into his own chair, across the table from Ashriel. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Ashriel smiled gently, nodding. She ate quietly, and at her normal quick pace. Finishing, she looked at him. "Raevyn...I know this might seem like a random question, but...what day of the week is it?" She asked him, honestly curious. Also bugging her mind was the fact that he'd have to go back to work soon. Would they be able to find something she could do?

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... "Hmm?" Raevyn asked, then frowned. He had to actually think about it. The days had blended together, taking care of Ashriel while she was sick. "Friday, I think. Why?" He wondered what had suddenly brought this up. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Ashriel looked at Raevyn quietly. "Because we are going to need money for the bills soon, probably. And...and I really want to go back to school." She added the last part a bit quieter, as if she almost didn't want him to hear it.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn nodded at the part of the bills but sighed, hearing she wanted to go back to school. He ran a hand through his short dark hair. "Ashriel, we've been through this. It's not safe." He said patiently. "We can't protect both you and Jennalin and school. And I'd hate to see either of you hurt. Again." He stressed the last word. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Ashriel nodded; she understood that fact. "I know...I just...feel bad, not going. Leaving Lix without anyone to talk to..." She sighed, looking at him. It was hard for her to be like this - with her broken leg. She hated it, she absolutely hated it! Now she realized that she wouldn't be able to stand for a while, due to the fall she'd had in the bath. Stupid. She'd been so stupid in there. Stupid, stupid, stupid idiot Ashriel.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn rubbed his forehead. He felt bad, denying Ashriel like this. "Look, I'm sorry alright? But I don't want to see you get hurt. Especially since you can barely stand." He said, almost sounding like he was pleading with her to understand. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Ashriel looked at Raevyn and nodded. "I know..." A long pause was after her words, her eyes staring at the couch. "Can...can we go sit on the couch? I don't wanna change." She asked, her eyes begging him practically. Also, the key word in what she'd asked was the 'we'. "Please?

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn sighed in relief and smiled. "Alright." He rose and picked Ashriel up, carrying her to the couch. He settled her on one end of it, before flickering to his cat form and hopping up onto the couch. He jumped to the back of it, padding until he was eye to eye with Ashriel. He licked her cheek lightly, then curled up around her neck. The tiger that should be....isn't....
