Ashriel was quick to fall asleep once she'd lied down, and Jennalin looked up from her book then, to Raevyn. "You know, her thoughts were invariably the same during most of your conversation. She wishes that she healed like you - so that you two could do something." Jennalin said quietly, standing up to go to the kitchen area.

Raevyn blinked up at Jennalin in surprise. "Really?" He said, rising to his paws and trotting after Jennalin. "So we could do something?" He asked her in confusion, hopping up to the table and watching.

Jennalin sighed lightly, looking at Raevyn. "Before she got hurt, where was the first place she would go when she was upset? The park, right? She feels about as comfortable cooped up in one place as you do inside. To her, this is plain. Boring. Monotonous. A walk in the park...a movie...something like that. That's why I want to get her the t.v. - so that it might seem like she is somewhere else and still with you." She told Raevyn simply, her hands opening and closing cupboards in search of a cookbook.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn cocked his head to the side as he considered that. "That's true, now that I think about it." He made note of that, tucking the info away for later. For now though, he simply watched Jennalin. "If you're looking for a cookbook, try the cupboard to the left of the sink, bottom self, left hand side, against the edge." The tiger that should be....isn't....

Jennalin nodded, going over to where Raevyn had directed her. Sure enough, there was one solitary cookbook. She pulled it out, laying it quietly on the counter and flipping to the dessert section.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn jumped to the counter, padding over to see what Jen had opened the book to. "Planning on making a cake for her? Or just cooking something else?" He asked easily, seeing the dessert section. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Jennalin smiled at Raevyn's question as she flipped through the pages. "Every year on Ash's birthday, I try and fail to make cookies for her. Lix does the same for me, and Ash actually succeeds for Lix. It's a birthday tradition we have. And I want to actually get them right, for once." She said thoughtfully to Raevyn, picking out the recipe she knew would be Ashriel's favorite - No Bakes. Hey, no baking, right? She should be able to do that. She took out a piece of paper from her bag she'd brought over and began copying the recipe carefully, making sure that she got it word for word.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn chuckled, shaking his head. "You guys are goofballs, you know that?" He told her playfully. "Still, I wish you luck. I would offer help but I have a feeling it would be violently rejected." Besides, Jennalin had said it was their tradition. He had no place breaking in to it. The tiger that should be....isn't....

"That's what Luke says, every single year." Jennalin said, laughing as she continued to write. "Luke's taking off the day before Ash's birthday and her birthday so that you two could both have some free time...and so that we can have a party." Of course, Jen's definition of 'a party' was inviting Lix and all of her siblings, along with Luke, to sit at Ashriel's house and have fun. And she had thought of a good way to do that this year. --I has a devious plot for Ash's birthday - that's why I added it in.. biggrin Also, I've decided that she is going to heal in only a month -.- There's only so many things you can do while she's crippled.--

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn chuckled, shaking his head lightly. At the mention of a party, his ears went back and he shifted from paw to paw. "Um.....How many people at this party? And, um, where's it being held?" He asked nervously.
((Sounds good. I know what you mean.)) The tiger that should be....isn't....

Jennalin grinned, doing a mental count of how many siblings Lix had. "Seven, plus you, me, and Ash." Looking about, she decided on the place. "It's gonna be in Luke's apartment." She decided, knowing exactly what his apartment currently contained. Everything needed for a party with all of Lix's siblings invited. "And you are going to need to be in human form during it, unless it gets disrupted. For Ashriel." Basically, she was implying that Raevyn didn't even get a choice in the matter of coming.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... "I don't wanna go." Raevyn announced, looking decidedly nervous. The tip of his tail twitched and his ears lay back as he shifted from paw to paw. "Too many people. Too crowded. I don't wanna go." He wasn't used to large crowds of people. Even at school, he had his space - Something few people violated. The tiger that should be....isn't....

Jennalin pouted. "Not even for Ash?" She questioned. Some traditions were ones that she'd rather not give up. Like having all the kids in their families at parties. And Ash, she knew, would be upset if Raevyn didn't come.

The tiger that shouldn't be....is.... Raevyn hesitated, knowing Ashriel would be upset if he didn't go. "But there's so many people! And it's such a small place." He complained. He didn't like being indoors to begin with and the party Jennalin was describing sounded like pure hell. "Can't we do it at a park or something? Somewhere with room?" The tiger that should be....isn't....

Jennalin thought for a moment. "I bet if you or Lucian checked it out first, we could do it in my loft. It just...wouldn't work outside. Is that more agreeable?" She asked him carefully, thinking for a moment. Her loft was bigger than Luke's and Ash's apartments put together, sure to give enough room for Raevyn to be satisfied.
