Why is there two different kinds of Ghoulmon?

Gray Ghoulmon
This is Ghoulmon while he is calm. Once he becomes viral he becomes the God of Destruction.
Black Ghoulmon
Originally, he was a high ranking angel type Digimon similar to Daemon, but he turned to the Dark Area and became a Demon Lord type Digimon. He is at a protected neutral standpoint in the conflict between Angel type Digimon and Demon type Digimon, and calmly watches the world. Usually, he is a gray Data type Digimon, but when is fighting a decisive battle with Angel type Digimon, he transfigures into a black Virus type God of destruction. After he has transfigured, and avoided wasteful battles, he releases the power he has stored, and exhausts his limits of destruction.
Like Daemon, Ghoulmon was once a Seraphimon.
